Page moves[edit]

There is a discussion about some recent page moves you made here. Feel free to join in. - ZLEA T\C 15:01, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Sterna Linhas Aéreas Flight 9302 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesnt appear to be noteworthy for a stand-alone article, mention on related articles is sufficient.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Recent move[edit]

[1] Curious why you thought this was an appropriate move, given that the event is pretty much universally referred to as the DC-4 Hijacking? Also why is it unfortunate to refer to hijacking, that's what it was? WCMemail 09:00, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Wee Curry Monster: Hello Wee Curry Monster, reason being that per WP:AATF, the standard way to name an article is to use it with the flight number. I had to use the word 'hijacking' because although it is not correct to use it per WP:AATF or WP:AVINAME, I could not move it directly to the page as it would not let me. KlientNo.1 (talk) 09:04, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately that group's policies rather clash with WP:COMMONNAME on this occasion and having read the policy, I would suggest the original name was compliant. May I suggest it's moved back for a move discussion? WCMemail 09:09, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sterna Linhas Aéreas Flight 9302 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Page moves[edit]

Please can you discuss page moves before you make them. Most of the moves you make or suggest are at best marginal. . The slavish move of pages particularly cargo aircraft incidents to completely unknown and hard to find and reference flight numbers is problematic and not particularly helpful, nor does it follow overall Wikipedia advice. Andrewgprout (talk) 04:08, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But if that is the case, then why would a move option be visible even before? Not exactly not following Wiki Advice. A move can be reverted and be discussed on my talk page. A page move must be done for updating purposes too with supporting final reports. KlientNo.1 (talk) 05:19, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To support Andrewgprout message above due to the problamatic nature of your moves I would suggest that you make a Wikipedia:Requested moves request on the talk page of the article you would like to move. It is far easier to gain a consensus on the talk page, also note that it also better to discuss moves on the related talk page and not here. MilborneOne (talk) 08:31, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Anyways, I am requesting moves these days as seen here: [2],here: [3] and here: [4]KlientNo.1 (talk) 06:26, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
