A tag has been placed on Ano Lesinitsa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. CultureDrone (talk) 14:34, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tsamantas, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.tsamantas.com/village.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 07:19, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Tsamantas[edit]

A tag has been placed on Tsamantas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Toon05 20:20, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source for Image:Gefyri.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gefyri.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:02, 11 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 15:02, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just two notes[edit]

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for those village articles. Just two notes:

  1. Please never, ever, upload images claiming they are your own work when they are not. Copyright violations are taken very seriously here and will get you blocked quite quickly. You uploaded two images from panoramio.com, Image:Gefyri.jpg and Image:Lesinitsa.jpg, but on panoramio they were both credited to two different authors so they can't both be yours. I'm deleting both.
  2. Please when you want to change an article from one title to another, don't just copy the contents out of the one page and paste them in another. Such cut-and-paste moves destroy the page history. Pages can only legitimately be renamed with the "move" button.

Thanks, --Fut.Perf. 06:03, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop revert-warring, or you may be blocked. The information about the Greek inhabitants of that village may be true, but see WP:Verifiability: you need a source explicitly saying so. The map you linked to shows that there are some Greeks somewhere in that region; it doesn't show that there are Greeks in that particular village, let alone exclusively Greeks. Fut.Perf. 08:11, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The picture Lesinitsa.jpg is mine. The other one Gefyri.jpg is not mine thats why I deleted it. As for the Greek inhabitants I provided adequate reference.

You really need to learn to discuss before you make serial reverts. I've reported you for breaking the 3-reverts rule, expect to be blocked shortly. Fut.Perf. 09:34, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok you are absolutely right, I forgot the rule but your concerns about the pictures and the nationality are resolved now.
Okay, I guess the Albanian government report works as a source, although it still doesn't say there are only Greeks there, maybe I'll tweak the wording a bit. About the image, can you confirm this by logging in on panoramio and stating there that this is indeed you and you license it under either GFDL or cc-by-sa? By the way, you didn't specify such a license on the image description page for Lesinitsa.jpg, we need to add this.
By the way, I've retracted the 3RR report for now; as long as we can talk constructively, we can work things out. Fut.Perf. 10:03, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Attention[edit]

Hi, pls pay attention, WP:3RR. The Cat and the Owl (talk) 08:13, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block notice[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 6 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule at Leshnica e Poshtme. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Stifle (talk) 10:26, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock}}

Yeah, I'd support an unblock, seeing as the situation is sort of resolved for now. I've left a note at Stifle's talk page, I think this will be resolved soon. Thanks also for confirming the image. Now, for form's sake, you only need to pick a license of your choice (GFDL or cc-by-sa or both) so we can fix the image page. Fut.Perf. 10:53, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have been unblocked, per below. I've cleared your unblock request as a result. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 12:13, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration enforcement warning[edit]

In a 2007 arbitration case, administrators were given the power to impose discretionary sanctions on any user editing Balkans-related articles in a disruptive way. If you engage in further inappropriate behaviour in this area, you may be placed under sanctions including blocks, a revert limitation or an article ban. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 10:28, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't write anything in a disruptive way.Everything I say is referenced. Some others delete everything just because they dont like the fact tha in Albania is a officially recognised Greek minority by the Albanian state.(Knonis)

Uhm, no. Nobody denies there is a Greek minority there. The only reason things were getting deleted was that they weren't sourced probably. And yes, your revert-warring and inclusion of - at that time - unsourced information was disruptive, so the warning is appropriate. Fut.Perf. 10:57, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Block cancelled[edit]

Per the request and further information from User:Future Perfect at Sunrise your block has been cancelled. Stifle (talk) 11:00, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.

--Tsourkpk (talk) 00:34, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Βασικά το παν είναι τα sources. Άμα έχεις εσύ source και δεν έχει ο άλλος, τώτε το περιθόριο δράσης του μειόνεται πάρα πολύ, και θα πάρουν και το μέρος σου οι admins. Μόνο πρόσεχε να εκπλήρονουν τισ προδιαγραφές του WP:RS. Έκανες ήδη πολύ καλή δουλειά στο άρθρο για την Κάτω Λεσινιτσα και βλέπω πως μαθαίνεις γρήγορα. Ελπίζω να σ'αρέσει η wikipedia και να αποφασήσεις να μείνεις. Έισαι Βορειηπειρώτης παρεμπιπτόντος;

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
