Request reason:

I admit to having being blocked in the past due to sockpuppeting. In my original account, User:Strider11, I have been blocked the access of editing my talk page, the convenient reason for why I am pending a request here. Apparently, I have made no edits since June the 20th, 2009 in order to avoid more trouble. It has been over a month now; am I elegible for a comeback?

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I cannot pend any sort of request as I have been blocked indefinitely and stripped the privilege of editing anything except my talk page. Please do something - I want to start editing Wikipedia again. In advance, I assure to be a constructive editor. As I just mentioned previously, I have not made any edits on Wikipedia since June the 20th, as has there been absolutely no activity from my IP address since that date. If you doubt the authencity of this, you may verify it yourself.

Request reason:

I emailed on August the 23rd however have recieved no reply as of 31 August; it has been 8 days. Is there an idea of when I may get a reply?

Decline reason:

It could take a long time; the arbitration committee is a very busy organisation. I'd appreciate it if you simply wait for a response: please do not request an unblock again, because it will be declined by administrators. Thank you. By the way, the address is arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org, not the above address. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 09:45, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flags

[edit]

Hi! You have just placed a number of flag icons in article infoboxes. These are state flags for Pakistan or Azad Kashmir. The infobox template is specifically for 'City Flags not state flags. Please check your edits and remove the icons that are not the specific flag for that location. Additionally the flag icon you placed in the London Borough of Waltham Forest as an icon for the 'Sister city' of Mirpur is the Pakistan state flag, whereas Mirpur is in Azad Kashmir not Pakistan. Again you also need to correct those edits before other editors revert the entries as suspect vandalism rather than incorrect good faith edits. Richard Harvey (talk) 13:21, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thanks for the clarification. If the state flags are used as city flags then its fine as it is, its just that the articles tend to attract a fair bit of attention from people who disagree and revert edits instantly, so at least I now know to watch for anyone deleting them without edit summaries. I suppose the bonus is that the infobox does not cater for Clan flags, otherwise I would be totally lost.:) Richard Harvey (talk) 14:31, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page United States-Pakistan skirmishes has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Just to be clear - the problem is a non-neutral point-of-view. Read this Wikipedia:Neutral if you're not familiar with what I'm talking about. The reverted edit is a clear violation. Majorclanger (talk) 05:42, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As long as they're from reliable, third-party sources and the added text indicates that the views are those expressed by the sources, then, yes - that would be fine. "Unprovoked and illegitimate" as accepted fact won't work, however. I know very little about the topic, and have little interest in it, but phrases like that won't work (even if true), as I'm fairly sure not everyone would agree. Again, phrases like that would be fine, as long as they're presented with some context (like "[some organization, news outlet, commentator, government, or something] has expressed that these acts are 'Unprovoked and illegitimate') would work. And always always always cite your sources, particularity in potentially controversial topics like this. Good luck! Majorclanger (talk) 05:56, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Your subsequent edit to Baloch nationalism works fine, but I'd strongly suggest providing an inline citation. If it's a web address, use the quicklink provided on the edit page. If it's print... I'm afraid you'll have to read this. Majorclanger (talk) 06:00, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Khalistan Liberation Force. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. utcursch | talk 13:48, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
