Sign

[edit]

As a courtesy to other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, and WikiProject pages. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then be automatically added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info, read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thank you. Ty 01:00, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

March 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. GregJackP (talk) 02:21, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me please ?

[edit]

Dear Lapskingwiki I have seen you have made some contributions to the page of IMMAGINE&POESIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMMAGINE%26POESIA) , but now they have added 2 templates saying something about references to be improved. I am not clear what they exactly want. Can you help me please ? Thanks--Alessandroga80 (talk) 19:17, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am very grateful for your help and for your translation of the Manifesto into Persian: if you can tell me when the translation is ready, I'll publish it with the other translations. If you think that some of the references are not reliable, please feel free to remove them. If you think it can be useful, in the bibliography there are articles published on La Stampa (one of the most important Italian national papers) and on Il Corriere dell'Arte ( a very popular Art magazine). Then articles about IMMAGINE&POESIA have been published in Wales before and after the Congress International Poetry Festival in Swansea (Peter Thabit Jones - Stanley H. Barkan International Poetry Festival - An Anthology, The Seventh Quarry (Swansea) - Cross-Cultural Communications - New York, June 2011).
Thanks a lot again! Best Greetings from Italy--Alessandroga80 (talk) 08:02, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lapsking! I am VERY grateful for all the work you have done! I have read the page of Stuckism: it is very interesting for me.
As you suggested, in September the Charter Members will start the official web site of IMMAGINE&POESIA and they'll create PDF documents of the most important newspapers articles to be published on line. The Monte Carlo article is only in Italian, but I think that with a Google translator people can have an idea of it.
Saluti dall'Italia e mille grazie ancora !--Alessandroga80 (talk) 06:37, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Stuckism

[edit]

The article Stuckism you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Stuckism for things which need to be addressed. Jezhotwells (talk) 12:02, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Translation

[edit]
  • Hi Lapskingwiki and thanks a lot for your translation. It has been published here:

http://imagespoetry.wordpress.com/the-manifesto-persian-translation-by-lapsking-hamed-dehnavi/ The acknowledgements are here: http://imagespoetry.wordpress.com/acknowledgments-for-the-translators-of-the-manifesto/ Which country are you from ? If you want they can write the country near your name. And if you agree you can collaborate to the Movement. Best greetings--Alessandroga80 (talk) 18:58, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

    • I am happy you joined the Movement: I have seen your web site and I like your paintings !

They have added your country near your name. You are right Immagine & Poesia is singular, but in English Images is plural: don't worry, both versions are acceopted. Bye--Alessandroga80 (talk) 18:29, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

      • Hello Lapsking, I too want to thank you for the work you have done for IMMAGINE&POESIA.

You are right: at the moment there isn't an article in Italian and I am VERY angry for that. I uploaded the article more than 1 year ago and the article lasted till the end of July when an administrator said the page was promotional: there was a debate and even if the majority was against the deletion of the page the adminstrator deleted it saying he had to interpret what the people thought (???). Now I think it is better to wait for several months before trying again...Anyway thanks for your support--Alessandroga80 (talk) 17:25, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Until the stars fall

[edit]

Hello Lapsking. "Until the stars fall" is part of Gavin Adam Wood's album SOULS APART that you can find in his web site: http://www.gavinadamwood.com/MainPage.htm (there are also excerpts of the songs: ours is the second). But if we want a direct reference to the song it is only on youtube as far as I know.

So what can we do ? --Alessandroga80 (talk) 05:35, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks again for your help and suggestions. As to the web sites, they are still considering several possibilities.

They haven't started one yet as in Italy it seems they want to approve a law project to equalize blogs and web sites... So we are going to see what happens...--Alessandroga80 (talk) 19:12, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

Hi Lapskingwiki: I have added the exhibition "Rhythms...Winter to Fall" planned with Adel Gorgy, the representative of IMMAGINE&POESIA in New York and you have deleted it. Why ? We have been organizing this exhibition for months in order to show how images can be matched with poems (actually both are in the exhibition). It is important according to the aims of the Movement. I'd like to reinstate it again, I hope you will understand. Thanks --Aeron10 (talk) 18:46, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Web Site at last

[edit]

Hello Lapsking, thanks again for your suggestion: at last IMMAGINE&POESIA has its own web site [1]. In the section Members you are a representative in Iran of I&P. The web site has just started but it will grow in the future. At the moment Adel Gorgy's exhibition for I&P is going on in NY area and I have added the website as a reference. I hope it is correct. Ciao = Bye --Alessandroga80 (talk) 18:59, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions

[edit]

As a result of an arbitration case administrators can impose discretionary sanctions on any editor working on articles concerning the September 11 attacks. Tom Harrison Talk 23:52, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you removing this item from the FAQ? You're making the FAQ worse. Please stop. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 00:21, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Because other theories should be reflected in the main article even if minorities support them, just like many other articles, why this article should be an exception? lapsking (talk) 00:27, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think you misunderstand what the purpose of the FAQ is. It is supposed to document why the article is written the way it is. I happen to disagree with how the article is written, too, but the place to change that it is on the article talk page. IOW, the FAQ documents the talk page discussion. In order to change the FAQ, you have to first change talk page consensus which you clearly haven't done. Can you please self-revert all the disputed changes and stop edit-warring? A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 00:35, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So how can we change "talk page consensus"? lapsking (talk) 00:45, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And at least the answer must be changed, it's really ridiculos. lapsking (talk) 00:47, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
First, can you please self-revert all the disputed changes?
Second, to change consensus, start a discussion on the article talk page. Explain why you think it should be changed. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 00:53, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Someone did that. lapsking (talk) 01:07, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone think that a request for enforcement should be made regarding this editor? I don't see this editor making any worthwhile contributions to the article, and they're wasting a lot of editors' time. In fact, their sole purpose seems be to push fringe theories into the article. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 19:27, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is no problem with having a section for fringe theories in the main article due to Wikipedia:Fringe theories. --lapsking (talk) 19:47, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As a last resort. lapsking doesn't seem to understand that numerous editors have tried this same vein of attack and it has never ended in a result that favors them. I'd like to think lapsking is smart enough to know when a flawed cause is lost, but if he continues, sadly this is the only option to end the derailment. --Tarage (talk) 20:56, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What attack? Who's attacking who? I'm discussing and Talk page is for discussing, If you don't like what I'm discussing that's your problem. lapsking (talk) 21:08, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Artista Eli, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Britain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
