Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Openpath
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Openpath, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Whispering(t) 23:08, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Lizmcfa. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Openpath, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. – Athaenara ✉ 00:59, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi, I'd like to appeal my block. I'm fairly new to editing on Wikipedia, but I believe I've followed all the right procedures and rules in place. I've disclosed my COI and employer in several places and gone through the AfC process rather than creating the article directly. I truly didn't intend Draft:Openpath to read as promotional and if it is I'd like to improve it (or if deletion is the right course, then that's acceptable as well). Aside from this one paid article I do enjoy editing on Wikipedia as a volunteer, and would like to contribute more in the future. Lizmcfa (talk) 01:39, 16 October 2019 (UTC)

Decline, for all the reasons expressed by 331dot below. Yamla (talk) 10:16, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I have deleted the draft, as it was largely if not totally sourced to press releases, routine announcements, or staff interview type sources, none of which are acceptable for establishing that this company meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company. Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources have given significant coverage to on their own. "Startups" rarely meet the notability criteria. You might later be able to submit a new draft, but you will need to spend much time(six months to a year at least) developing a good edit history that shows you understand what goes into article content. What other subjects do you want to edit about, and would you agree to refrain from creating a draft about your company for a time? 331dot (talk) 08:03, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
Understood, I'll refrain from submitting a new article (on any subject for that matter) until I understand the process and rules better. I enjoy improving technology pages, so far it's just been small grammatical fixes and editing for clarity. I'd stick to the small changes for the time being as I get the hang of Wikipedia. Request reason:
I agree not to submit or create any articles for at least 6 months to a year, and instead focus on making small edits and grammatical fixes to subjects I'm knowledgeable about (but have no COI with). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lizmcfa (talk • contribs) 15:18, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
