[edit]Please would you stop your disruptive editing at Lists of mountains and hills in the British Isles. You have tried seven times to change the wording, instead of following WP:BRD and putting your case on the talk page. This avoids edit warring which is unproductive and can lead to a ban. Thanks. Bermicourt (talk) 19:53, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lists of mountains and hills in the British Isles; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --David Biddulph (talk) 20:57, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
It is my belief that Wikipedia is useless if factual errors cannot be corrected. The term British Isles is a Geo-political, rather than a geographical, construct. Lordlugus (talk) 21:12, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- British Isles is the most commonly used term for the islands in question internationally. It is not politically charged or claims ownership any more than the Irish Sea does. If another term becomes more commonplace then we can switch terms. Also this discussion belongs on the Talk:British Isles page. Canterbury Tail talk 21:17, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Users have disagreed. You are required to take it to the talk page of the article and to convince others with arguments supported by policy(e.g. WP:NPOV) that this change should be made(unless you are convinced by them, of course).Lurking shadow (talk) 21:16, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
Bermicourt, please do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Lordlugus (talk) 21:15, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- You were the one edit warring because you believe you are right, and have been blocked for it. Considering you appear to be a single purpose account trying to right great wrongs the next block will be indefinite. Canterbury Tail talk 21:18, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
Ah, I see Wikipedia flies the flag for British Imperialism. Blocking the truth does not alter the truth. Lordlugus (talk) 21:45, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Nope not at all, just WP:COMMONNAME and WP:VERIFIABILITY. When you return, after your block, take the topic to the Talk:British Isles page. I'd recommend that you read through the talk page archives there to get a lay of the land before posting just to get a lay of the land and see what discussions have been had previously. [edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at List of mountains of the British Isles by height (2001–2500). As well as your edit-warring, your political campaign is now breaking wikilinks on a number of articles. David Biddulph (talk) 21:04, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

Blocked
[edit]You have been blocked from editing indefinitely as it's clear you're not here to build an encyclopaedia. Instead it's apparent you're only here to WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS and edit war to push the opinion that Ireland is not part of the British Isles. You have chosen to ignore the talks you've taken part in, performed personal attacks against people in talk pages, and are no interested in participating in a collaborative project and have made the declaration that you will continue with your disruptive editing and edit warring. You've refused to follow the policies of WP:VERIFIABILITY and instead choose to continue to push your opinion. Taking this into considering it's clear you're not willing to abide by Wikipedia'a rules and collaborate with others. Canterbury Tail talk 18:19, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
