Please don't template me! Everybody makes mistakes, and this user finds user warning templates impersonal and disrespectful. If there's something you'd like to say, please take a moment to write a comment below in your own words. |
Question from Ahnmad wilayati (22:13, 28 December 2024)
[edit]how can i add ,y boigraphy --Ahnmad wilayati (talk) 22:13, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
- I'm assuming you meant to say "my biography", in which you shouldn't, as that violates our conflict of interest policy. Thanks. Lordseriouspig 00:46, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

Question from UnprejudicedObserver1 (05:45, 29 December 2024)
[edit]The 2024 Bangladesh anti-Hindu violence article is completely biased. More editors need to get involved and make it more neutral.-UnprejudicedObserver1 (talk) 05:45, 29 December 2024 (UTC)
- You have been assigned as my mentor, so please let me know what to do.-UnprejudicedObserver1 (talk) 05:47, 29 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @UnprejudicedObserver1!
- I would normally recommend being bold and fixing it yourself, however the article is semi-protected, so you need a bit more experience before editing. You may want to talk about it further on the talk page, by either making a new discussion, or contributing to an already existing one. You may even want to request a RFC if there is a dispute. New page reviewer granted
[edit]Hi Lordseriouspig, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! – Joe (talk) 09:58, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
Question from 9662e103-129a (16:51, 4 January 2025)
[edit]Hey Lordseriouspig, If I've got something like so:
... conditionally to a specified pointer.[1] Also, during a CPU halt, the PC holds the instruction being executed, until an external interrupt or a reset signal is received.
Where "CPU halt" is linked to a Wikipedia page, should I still include a source for the information following it? Or would just keeping the inline link be fine. --9662e103-129a (talk) 16:51, 4 January 2025 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – January 2025
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (December 2024).
- Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
- A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.
- The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.
- Following the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: CaptainEek, Daniel, Elli, KrakatoaKatie, Liz, Primefac, ScottishFinnishRadish, Theleekycauldron, Worm That Turned.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in January 2025 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles and redirects in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!

Your draft article, Draft:Spell Chess
[edit]Hello, Lordseriouspig. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Spell Chess".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}

code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 08:29, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
