Loreensherman (talk) 23:12, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Hi, am I able to submit a second article and if so, how? Loreen Sherman[reply]

Are you asking how to get feedback on an article? You can create a subpage on WP:AFC at WP:AFC/Whatever your article title is or request feedback. Mr. R00t Talk 23:19, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may submit any number of articles at Articles for creation. fetch·comms 23:20, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You also have to add to the top of it. Mr. R00t Talk 23:22, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Draft

[edit]

I have moved the draft article to User talk:Loreensherman/draft one, to keep this talk page free for discussion. I will write more soon.  Chzz  ►  23:30, 24 June 2010 (UTC) (Loreensherman (talk) 21:30, 27 June 2010 (UTC))[reply]

helpmeI thank you for your help in providing guides. I see that the article has been put into draft form, what are the next steps that I need to do?(Loreensherman (talk) 21:30, 27 June 2010 (UTC))[reply]
I took a look at the article and I thought that it looked pretty good. All I really think is that you could make it longer and maybe put more sources. The only reason I say anything of sources is because most people like to see articles with lots of sources. Not necessary but helpful. As for after that you probably could move it live. I would be happy to do that for you or teach you how. Mr. R00t Talk 21:37, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

(Loreensherman (talk) 22:16, 27 June 2010 (UTC)) helpme Please help me add the following: Submission for the Title of the Article, which is Formulaic Communication in the 21st Century[reply]

Four sources to add to the article: Reference 5 should be this Cite error: A (see the help page). Reference 13 should be Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page).

Reference 16 should be Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page).

I would greatly appreciate you helping me make this article live. Again, many thanks:)(Loreensherman (talk) 22:16, 27 June 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Done- all done, moving live. Mr. R00t Talk 22:25, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Advice, further to discussions

[edit]

Best advice, please read some 'good articles', preferably on broadly similar topic-areas, but does not have to be exactly the same area. For example;

I chose those because I think they are also 'conceptual' in nature. You can find plenty more in WP:FA and WP:GA.

I hope this helps,  Chzz  ►  23:36, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome and introduction

[edit]

Hi, Loreensherman. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  23:36, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ようこそ
 • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
 • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put helpme and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
 • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
 • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Your user page User:Loreensherman

[edit]

I'm concerned about your user-page, User:Loreensherman, because at the moment, I think it could be deleted under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person.

Instead of tagging it for deletion, I thought I would ask you about it. If you could perhaps 'tone down' the promotional nature, then I think it would be OK. It's fine to say a little about yourself (and what you do) - but it is not OK to promote; as it says in WP:USERPAGE, a small amount of info is acceptable, but Pages used for blatant promotion are not. For example a 5 page résumé and advertising for your band will probably be too much, a brief 3 sentence summary that you work in field X and have a band named Y will be fine.

Thanks,  Chzz  ►  23:51, 24 June 2010 (UTC) (Loreensherman (talk) 11:48, 26 June 2010 (UTC)). Please review the changes to the page as I have changed the content, and thanks for the advise. (Loreensherman (talk) 11:48, 26 June 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Yes, that looks fine now, thanks. I'll answer your other question on my talk page, as soon as possible. Thanks again,  Chzz  ►  16:36, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to your AfC Submission

[edit]

I've just fixed up some errors, however, I noticed there were no External Links or See also links, since I don't know what websites are of relevance to the article and with you being the creator of the article you would have some knowledge on the subject so if you could find them then add a new heading for See Also or External Links that'd be great. The article is nicely done and great work with the sources. Your article is located here. Regards, Fridae'§Doom | Spare your time? 04:55, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A Live Article

[edit]

I have been working on The Progression of the Philosophy of Formulaic Communication but do not know if it went live. Could you confirm? Loreen Sherman(Loreensherman (talk) 16:16, 19 July 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Yes, at The Progression of the Philosophy of Formulaic Communication. BencherliteTalk 22:15, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Curious as to Link Article

[edit]

You make links by just putting the exact article name in brackets; you can also 'pipe' a link from one wording to another, e.g.

This is a sausage.

I am a dentist.

John Smith was an English soldier, explorer, and author.

The above appears as;

This is a sausage.

I am a dentist.

John Smith was an English soldier, explorer, and author.

For more, see WP:LINKING. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  19:05, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Loreen Sherman profile requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Feedthepope (talk) 17:09, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the db-afc or db-g13 code. Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 23:01, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
