Talk page

[edit]

This is a talk page and not a user page. This page is a place to discuss and not throw up things about you. Your user page is a place about you. User pages do not contain articles. Bgwhite (talk) 06:05, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted most of Sultan's page. The page is not supposed to be about Sufism, but about Sultan. Also you cannot have references to other wikipedia pages. References have to be reliable and independent. (See WP:SOURCES). A reference has to source what is being said and not to something about Sufism... For example, if Sultan is known for "Islamic jurisprudence", give a reference that states this is what Sultan is known for, not a reference to Sufism.

As it appears as English is not your native language, I suggest asking questions at Wikipedia:Teahouse. They can answer your questions and an editor of your native language can help you out. Bgwhite (talk) 06:11, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Hazrat Najeeb Sultan for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Hazrat Najeeb Sultan is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hazrat Najeeb Sultan until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. --Stfg (talk) 10:40, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Prod notices

[edit]

Two things:

  • a BLPPROD notice is only for use on biographies of living people; Cyrela Commercial Properties is a company, not a person, so it is inappropriate;
  • in this edit, you have endorsed a Prod placed by you yourself; that is not appropriate.

The correct process would have been to add a normal PROD notice, with the rationale that you have placed on the BLPPROD endorsement. AllyD (talk) 07:07, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Muhammad Najeeb Sultan and Abida Parveen.JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Muhammad Najeeb Sultan and Abida Parveen.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Names of imameen2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (tc) 04:08, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Hoo allah muhammad.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Hoo allah muhammad.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Muhammad Najeeb Sultan

[edit]

Hello, Luckyaim. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Muhammad Najeeb Sultan".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 16:52, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Uploaded for Hazrat Najeeb Sultan. No other use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
