Conflict of interest

[edit]

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article User:MEB71/new article name here, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:26, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FEED response

[edit]

Hi! I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I responded to your request for feedback on WP:FEED. As a personal note, I also want to say that having a conflict of interest with a subject you want to write about can be really frustrating, especially if it's your first experience editing Wikipedia. If you want to talk more, about the article or about where you should go from here, I'd be happy to talk either here or on my talk page. Annalise (talk) 04:30, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are right it is not easy to have the right point of view; I have already asked for the contribution of other experts. I'm a researcher at the University of Rome so I use to write about scientific topics. My mind is also to expand RBF theory in wikipedia that is quite weak. I have placed a feedback request to have the contributions of experts of RBF (if there is anyone skilled on this topic that is active on wikipedia)... Can you help to find them? MEB71 (talk) 16:40, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just so you know, on talk pages, people usually indent their responses by putting a : in front of the text. The more colons, the further indented the text is. (You can look at what I did as an example, or you can also look at WP:CHEAT for more formatting guides.) As for your question, I know that there are people on Wikipedia who know about RBF, but I'm not one of them. Is it software, a scientific concept, or a mathematical one? There might be a WikiProject that covers them, but I don't know where to start looking. In the meantime, the best way to find other people who share an interest in a topic is to edit articles about that topic. If you add those articles to your watchlist, you'll also be able to see any changes that other people make. This will help you to know who else is working on things and what is being done. Annalise (talk) 05:01, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
RBF is a mathematical tool, my software RBF Morph implements this tool to solve an industrial problem.MEB71 (talk) 14:30, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MEB71 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. WuhWuzDat 16:35, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated RBF Morph, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/RBF Morph. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. WuhWuzDat 17:02, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RBF Morph

[edit]

Hi, hope you do not mind me butting in. I have not looked at the article, but may be a way forward rather than an undelete debate would be to get the article restored to user space as a sub-page of your account where it can be worked on. You can then make the appropriate changes and improvements that would bring the article up to standard. When ready it can be moved to main space for others to see. DRV closure

[edit]

As a followup to this, I have closed the DRV discussion as endorsing the closure of the AfD; however, I have restored the article to your userspace as per your request. Please find it at User:MEB71/RBF Morph. Thanks, GlassCobra 17:24, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
