Speedy deletion of VetFriends.com

[edit]

A tag has been placed on VetFriends.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 16:25, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your email

[edit]

I suspect most people here prefer that you leave a message on their talk page if it's a simple question about WP matters, but to answer your email, I didn't delete your article, I nominated it for deletion because it didn't appear to meet WP guidelines for notability (in this case, see WP:CORP). An admin apparently agreed and deleted the article after reviewing it. As far as the military.com article, please see WP:OSE. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 21:41, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of VetFriends.com

[edit]

Hello MJAnders30,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged VetFriends.com for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

I have moved this article to your userspace so that you can work on it. It's located at User:MJAnders30/VetFriends.com. ... discospinster talk 14:45, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your article VetFriends.com does not indicate how the site is notable by Wikipedia's criteria. These criteria can be found at WP:GNG and WP:NWEB. Basically the site has to be the subject of multiple, third-party coverage. Simply existing is not enough. Please familiarize yourself with these criteria before moving the article into the main space. The page Your First Article is helpful as well. ... discospinster talk 18:50, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:VetFriends Logo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 15:14, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
