Protection Notice Against User Quode[edit]

  • Hi there. I've left a note for the editor you mentioned, asking him/her to allow editing on the subpage continue without interference. Tony Fox (arf!) 18:51, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I can't do much about other wikis, but will keep an eye on this. Tony Fox (arf!) 18:58, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's obvious there's a personal issue here from off-Wiki between you and Quode; I highly advise no further interaction here between the two of you. I've told Quode the same thing; this isn't the place to continue a running battle. Tony Fox (arf!) 20:26, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Quode has been using the "my contributions" feature to stalk me on every Wiki, accusing me of being Randy Richards (among other bizarre things). Even if it were true (I'm not), you can see by her rant how nutty she is. She even included a veiled threat. If there were some cyberstaking law I could invoke to prosecute, I would do it. Anyway thanks for your help. Malakai Joe (talk) 02:48, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for the help. It will probably work for a little while, but as soon as she thinks no one is paying attention she'll start doing it again. Its been going on for years. She hates Randy Richards more than her own life and she'll do anything and say anything to have his name wiped from the face of the earth. She's been doing the same cyberstalking on other Wikis: http://dnd.wikia.com/wiki/Randy_Richards Malakai Joe (talk) 18:56, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • You have no idea who I am. Be careful Randy. Please prove this woman exists, like Spellbinder you cannot. You hide behind lies and my edits are gentle. You think Wiki is a place to air your side of all problems, to self promote, to accuse falsely people who are not even enemies. I know you thirst for acclaim but you have yet to earn it. You started this with the lie about me after I had created a review. I bought the book from you in good faith and made clear my intent to review it. As I posted my thoughts on the NG board there was no problem till I gave you a C rating. Then I was an ex-girl friend who had this ax to grind. My name is Ken Moscardini, I am 47, marred and a gamer for over 30 years. After you lied I decided I needed to keep an eye on you, I see you for who you are. A very small man who has hurt other people and has no regard to the pain and trouble you have caused. Why would WIKI want you. If anyone touches your sacred article you scream foul, falsely accuse people of all manor of things, do all you can to obscure the truth about you, that your not that special. If you must know I pity you for the monster you have become, nor can I respect you for the man you think you are. Quode (talk) 20:22, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Perfect timing. The state rests its case, your honor. Malakai Joe (talk) 02:40, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of BabelCon[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is BabelCon. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BabelCon. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:16, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:FoundationLogo.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:FoundationLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.
  • If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

Thank you. DASHBot (talk) 04:31, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:GaryRandy.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:GaryRandy.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:35, 2 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:35, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Greygangs.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:RandyRichards-GaryGygax.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:RandyRichards-GaryGygax.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 14:40, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:BabelConShirt.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:BabelConShirt.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Calliopejen1 (talk) 01:32, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mystery walls of Bayers Lake requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. User:Malakai Joe/Randy Richards, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Malakai Joe/Randy Richards and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Malakai Joe/Randy Richards during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion.
