An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Dr Nadadur Janardhan. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr Nadadur Janardhan. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 02:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{help}} How to improve the article about a notable person?

That's a very general question, so it's hard to answer. There are many ways to improve an article about a person. If you have a more specific question, please respond with the article you want to improve and how you believe it needs improvement. For general ideas, you can read more about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines of biographies at Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies). Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 14:26, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article I wrote is Dr Nadadur Janardhan. Kindly go through the article and suggest how I should improve it as it is under deletion debate. Thank you Mysdaao Melquirrajan (talk) 13:35, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The main area for improvement I see, which has also been brought up during the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr Nadadur Janardhan, is demonstrating notability. The article contains many sources, but most of them mention Nadadur Janardhan briefly or not at all. You should try to look for and add published material from reliable secondary sources (not coming from the subject or his organization) that have a strong focus on Janardhan and his work.
I see some other minor ways to improve the article. First, the title of the article should be <First name> <Last name> without the qualifier Dr, as stated in Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people). The article should be moved to the title Nadadur Janardhan, and Dr should be removed from the lead sentence.
Because the subject is a writer, there should be a list of works by him in a section called either Works or Publications or Bibliography. The new section should be placed above the section on references, which by the way should have the plural title References instead of Reference.
The section with references contains many duplicate references. References to the same link should be combined into one. Instructions for how to do that are at Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners#Same ref used twice or more
Those are the areas for improvement I see. Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 17:41, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Mysdaao for your advise. I try to follow it. How to change the title? Should I create another article with the title <first name> <Last name> and redirect it? --Melquirrajan (talk) 07:46, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
To move the page, go to Dr Nadadur Janardhan, press "move" on the top of the page, and then enter the new title and the reason for the move. Dr Nadadur Janardhan will automatically become a redirect to the new title, and the edit history will be maintained. For more information on moving pages, see Help:Moving a page, and please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 12:16, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The article has been deleted. Where I can find the log?--Melquirrajan (talk) 17:06, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The log for the page is here. It says it was deleted because on the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr Nadadur Janardhan. Is that you're looking for? --Mysdaao talk 17:48, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Haselfrë Solutions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ZacBowling (user|talk) 10:02, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Haselfrë Solutions, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Haselfrë Solutions. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for uploading File:Hf-logo.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 03:14, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Hf-logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.

Yes, by all means feel free to recreate the article. Just don't copy test directly from a website. Or from a pamphlet, book, or anywhere else. Rephrase the information into your own words, quote sparingly as needed, and cite the sources. Shimeru (talk) 01:46, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto for Haselfre Solutions. Please include verifiable references for all articles that you create, and have fun! Iftelse (talk) 16:33, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
