July 2010
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Preston. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Dr Greg talk 19:03, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Boardmasters
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Boardmasters, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Boardmasters and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Longwayround (talk) 08:19, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
St Helens and Wigan derby
[edit]Hello, Nathancroucher. I've moved the test page that you created into your user space; you'll find it at User:Nathancroucher/St Helens and Wigan derby, where you can continue your test edits. It's not a good idea to create test pages in the main namespace, partly because they're likely to be speedily deleted but mainly because there are better places to learn how to use Wikipedia -- your own user space or the Sandbox, for example. Good luck with the learning. If you need help, you'll find most wikipedians are only too willing to assist. Just type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will stop by to help. October 2016
[edit]Hello, I'm Dr Greg. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Preston, Lancashire, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Shevington Sharks moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Shevington Sharks, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
