Relapse singles

[edit]

I reverted your edits, because they contradict the policies of WP:Albums/WP:Albums#Singles, and just to be careful, I asked other editors about this topic at this discussion. U should make your case first at the Relapse article's talk page first. Dan56 (talk) 23:37, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Recovery (Eminem album), please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 22:10, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Relapse/singles

[edit]

Same as before, the policy for singles is pretty clear about it. If u still feel your edits are justifiable, bring it up at the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. Dan56 (talk) 22:14, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Relapse (album) has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ 00:14, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to No Love (Eminem song). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article.   — Jeff G. ツ 00:53, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Eminem discography. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.   — Jeff G. ツ 02:01, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Singles/Relapse

[edit]

I think u should let this one go; the policy on singles is clear (WP:Albums#Singles). Dan56 (talk) 19:23, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Relapse (album). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You need to discuss the changes you want to make and achieve consensus for them before you make them in the article. Further, you should adopt the habit of using edit summaries for all of your edits, but especially those that may be controversial. Controversial edits include reverting somebody else's revisions, and adding material that you know you don't have consensus for (like the singles in the Relapse article). — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 17:25, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Shirdi-sai-baba-avatara.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 11:39, 25 July 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:39, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Shirdi-sai-baba-avatara.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 12:28, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Eminem.bet..jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Eminem.bet..jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 00:18, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Devil In A New Dress (Kanye West song) worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox instead. Thank you. The song is considered to be non-notable, for it has not charted. Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 02:25, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Ke$ha - We R Who We R (Official Single Cover).png.

If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 19:40, 17 October 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Acather96 (talk) 19:40, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:The-Black-Eyed-Peas-The-Time-Dirty-bit-single-cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:The-Black-Eyed-Peas-The-Time-Dirty-bit-single-cover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:28, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Good Friday Music Program for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Good Friday Music Program, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Good Friday Music Program until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 22:48, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
