Proposed deletion

[edit]

Hi, the title Dabur's CSR Initiative-Making a Difference sounds like a TV ad. It desperately needs to be changed. Why don't you try a new title out on me and I'll give you feedback. Make it "straighter", very neutral. Tony (talk) 12:33, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to change the title of my topic like you said and now my article doesn't exist now.(Nirupama267 (talk) 15:50, 25 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]
If I change the name, the article becomes non existent. Hence, I've put the old title. But do you think the title Dabur and Corporate Social Responsibilty is neutral enough?(Nirupama267 (talk) 15:58, 25 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]
I have created a new page with the same content but a different title.I hope you find this enough. Nirupama267 (talk) 16:03, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have made changes like adding more references and links like you said. The name of the article has been changed. I have also linked Sustainable Development Society, my article, to Dabur as you said.Yet the notice of 'proposed deletion' exists on my page.Kindly tell me why this is so. Nirupama267 (talk) 01:36, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Like you had asked I have put in more than seven links from my page to reliable secondary sources. Now will my article be saved from deletion?Nirupama267 (talk) 16:31, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Independent reliable sources for reference section

[edit]

To have a Wikipedia article a subject needs independent reliable sources. What that means is that you can sometimes use a corporate website connected to the subject as a reference for minor points but you cannot base the article on that kind of non-independent source. (And even for minor points it's better to have an independent source.) So I would suggest looking for newspaper articles, magazine articles, or books that discuss the Sustainable Development Society. Those are the types of sources that create a good Wikipedia article. Those kinds of independent reliable sources are also what's needed to prevent deletion of the article. Hope this helps. Template:Nirupama267 Sandbox ??

[edit]

I see that you just created Template:Nirupama267 Sandbox. I think you are trying to create a "sandbox" page where you can practice and work on your article draft. If that's what you want then click on User:Nirupama267/sandbox and create the page there. A template is not a good place for an article draft. Cloveapple (talk) 17:06, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
