Hello Jimfbleak, thank you for the welcoming message.

I'm still trying to understand the correct use of Wikipedia, but meanwhile I was surprised by the deletion of the page I was updating: Hotel Heritage. This page is about the historical hotel chain situated in Lisbon, that only operates in historical buildings of Lisbon. The page only explained the history behind the hotel chain and architectural curiosities about the buildings, with no advertising content. I didn't finish the updating, since the Page Title is incorrect, I intended to change it to [Lisbon_Heritage_Hotels] since it is more accurate. I believe I was following Wikipedia rules about content publishing, I also looked up for other Hotel pages on Wikipedia and tried to keep the same structure. Could you please restore the deleted page and update the title, so I could finish updating its content with more references to historical facts? Thank you in advance! Hi, thanks for message. If you post an article it will be assessed as it stands. If you don't want that to happen, you should write it as a draft. User pages are for you to write about your activities on Wikipedia, and are not for promotion. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company organisation he claims or interviewing its management.
  • you gave some references, but they were to the company's websites. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
  • The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
  1. significant coverage in
  2. independent,
  3. multiple,
  4. reliable,
  5. secondary sources.
Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability.
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced or self-sourced claims presented as fact include: created with the mission of offering its clients a stay full of the typical Portuguese Hospitality, History and Tradition in small charm hotels and many similar company opinions
  • it's all about what the company sells, little about the company organisation itself other than locations. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, turnover or profits funding or expenditure.
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections. That's particularly the case when they are spamlinks to affiliated sites.
  • the article was a copyright violation of this. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial but there is no indication that the copied site allows free use. Text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. But in any case the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia's purposes, so there would not be any point in your jumping through all the hoops that are required.
  • You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also guidance for editors with conflicts of interest and writing about yourself.
  • If you work directly or indirectly for the organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:NunoBarreira. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=NunoBarreira|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Editing Wikipedia with a possible paid conflict of interest[edit]

Hello NunoBarreira. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Hello @SamHolt6: , I appreciate your comments but I can assure you that I am not being payed for this contribution. I noticed some months ago that there was an article posted on Wikipedia about the Lisbon Heritage Hotels but was very incomplete and used too many commercial terms. I tried to edit it, but before I could end the editing process the article was deleted. So I decided to create a new one that would include only the facts about these portuguese historical buildings and the story behind each one of them till they become a hotel brand.
