This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The British International School of New York, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: British International School of New York. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. British International School of New York

[edit]

Hi, we are trying to correct the title of this article to reflect the proper title of this institution, which is 'The British International School of New York'. However, between the bot and yourself it has been reverted and marked as vandalised. Please advise what we need to do. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nylonuser28 (talkcontribs)

Per the Wikipeida Manual of Style and WP:THE, articles should NOT begin with the word "the", except in very limited circumstances (for example, The New York Times). Even if the name should be changed, this should be done by moving the article, not by cutting and pasting. Given the article, there is probably no reason to do a move at all, but if you still insist on going ahead with the rename, it should probably be done through the Wikipedia:Requested moves process. Please understand that the reverts and the bot warnings are intended to prevent problems that can arise from cut-and-paste moves. Alansohn (talk) 20:54, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Abercorn International School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Abercorn International School and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mean as custard (talk) 17:08, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
