Spam in Starlims[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Starlims, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Starlims is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Starlims, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 01:50, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FYI Conflict of interest guideline[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Starlims, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. — Athaenara 02:14, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Starlims[edit]

I recommend you bring the article to the attention of other neutral editors to help improve and source it. It still has issues.--CyberGhostface (talk) 18:59, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've done an edit to the opening section and the awards section. Please take another look at the article to see what I've done and make sure it is clear where every single bit of information came from directly. Putting all the links at the bottom still doesn't make it clear which link provided which information. If you feel adventurous, you can have a look at WP:CITET, but you don't have to. If you add the links I can do the formatting. (By the way, isn't the company's HQ in Tel Aviv instead of the US?) - Mgm|(talk) 09:39, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi Mgm, thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it so much. I have changed the HQ to Tel-Aviv, Israel after researching further. In addition, I will go through the article and add more links/citations as you suggested. Thanks so much!--Ohadtpa (talk) 13:44, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Starlims[edit]

A tag has been placed on Starlims, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Nuttah (talk) 21:07, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Cruzer-Enterprise-Secure-USB.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cruzer-Enterprise-Secure-USB.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:07, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for File:Cruzer-Enterprise-Secure-USB.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cruzer-Enterprise-Secure-USB.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free media (File:Cruzer-Enterprise-Secure-USB.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cruzer-Enterprise-Secure-USB.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
