Teahouse Host

Teahouse logo
Dear Benjamin Borg,

Thank you for volunteering as a Host at the Teahouse. Wikipedia is a community of people working together to make knowledge free. You are an important part of that effort! By joining as a Host, and by following our expectations, you are helping new users to get started here at Wikipedia, and aiding more experienced users who just have a question about how something works. We appreciate your willingness to help!

Here are some links you may find helpful as a Host:

Editors who have signed up as hosts, but who have not contributed at the Teahouse for six months or so may be removed from the list of hosts.

(Your edit count is a little on the low side, and your editing history suggests you still have quite a lot to learn, so please make sure you reply in a friendly manner only to those questions you can genuinely add value to. I'll also take this chance to highlight that you have a very poor history of leaving edit summaries. You could do with addressing this if you want to show a good example to other editors. All the best!)

Thank you nick! I appreciate your suggestions and I will make sure to improve! Benjamin Borg (Talk)

Your draft article, Draft:Made in Malta

Hello, Benjamin Borg. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Made in Malta".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 19:54, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Calypso's Cave requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.visitgozo.com/where-to-go-in-gozo/sight-seeing-places-of-interest/calypsos-cave/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa (talk) 22:37, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Malta Articles needing infoboxes indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

Please be cautious in answering queries at Teahouse until you observe for a time, so as to be more sure of providing a correct answer. David notMD (talk) 16:18, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

@David notMD I understand, was any particular answer wrong? If so tell me as I'd like to improve on my mistakes. Signed,Pichemist (Talk) 16:40, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't write an article about your own company." You were wrong. A person can declare a paid relationship with a company on their User page, and create/submit a draft. If the draft is accepted as an article, they are then, going forward, prohibited from directly editing the article. David notMD (talk) 16:52, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thanks for the heads up. Signed,Pichemist (Talk) 18:46, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Il-Lunzjata Valley, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Archway. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
