Request for article expansion support

[edit]

Hello and Greetings,

I was looking for some support in article expansion of Draft:Aurat (word) by any chance if you have access to the Turkish language source. Pl. do visit the article Draft:Aurat (word) and support expansion of the article if you find topic interested in.

Thanks and warm regards

Hi! I have added the Ottoman spelling, meaning and updated the transliteration. I also added the note that the use of the word "avrat" in Modern Turkish is dated, but that it is still used to humorous effect. I will try to see if there's anything else I can add to the article -- The topic seems really interesting!

Covid-19 death per capita map in Europe

[edit]

Hello, I've noticed you've been updating this map occasionally, by uploading new .png versions and linking them in the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe article. There is better way to update images in Wikipedia. In the image's description page in Wikimedia Commons, at the bottom of the "File history" section, there is a link labelled "Upload a new version of this file". If you click on it and follow the wizard, the image will be updated automatically on every page where it is used, and the previous versions will be kept in the description page. Moreover, when it comes to maps, the .svg format is usually used, as they are in certain ways more easily editable, and they don't get blurry when zooming, however that isn't a mandatory restriction. Thanks for helping. :) --Antondimak (talk) 23:50, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Your reason here Portugal1337 (talk) 22:49, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Hi there. I don't have another account. I do share WiFi with four other people so if this is a WiFi/IP issue, I do not exactly know how to prove that I don't have another account. And I'm really trying hard to save the Featured Article status of the Istanbul article, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Featured_article_review/Istanbul/archive1#Istanbul so I would appreciate it if I could get unblocked.

The guide on blocking talks about the purposes of blocking: (1) preventing imminent or continuing damage and disruption to Wikipedia; (2) deterring the continuation of present, disruptive behavior; and (3) encouraging a more productive, congenial editing style within community norms.

Have I been engaged in disruptive behavior? Created any damage?

I don't even know what the copyright violations and concerns are. I can't respond to an accusation that isn't explicitly stated.

Decline reason:

Sockpuppetry is extremely likely here and you've given no plausible explanation to address the concerns. Indeed, you haven't even mentioned the copyright violations. Though as you suspect, that's only a secondary concern given the very, very high likelihood of WP:SOCK violations. Yamla (talk) 22:58, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
