Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Hello Ravenkye, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Raven Kÿe has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. -

Concerning copyright, we cannot take the word of just anyone who chooses to create a Wikipedia account that they own copyright of content, as people can and do make false claims of owning copyright. This is particularly so in the case of content which appears in a web page which bears a copyright notice such as "© DHHJ | Daily Hip Hop Jamz All Rights Reserved 2016".

However, even if you had proved that you do own the copyright of the content you posted, it would still have been deleted, because it was purely promotional, full of such marketing language as "multi-mega-talented", "powerhouse", "impressive", and "unique, one-of-a-kind sound". Copyright, Advertising, and Wikipedia[edit]

You're adding material which you claim to own. I don't doubt what you're claiming but Wikipedia lets anybody and everybody copy, alter, and use any material any way they like. So, in order to accept your material the wiki would need you to PROVE you own the material through the WP:DCM process.

The other problem is that the material (text & photos) is intended to advertise you. That's not what wikipedia's for (WP:PROMO) so, even if you gave away the copyright on your stuff, Wikipedia still doesn't want it. OK? Bazj (talk) 20:18, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy.
