Description[edit]

This template can be used to produce an infobox that is appropriate for use on a "Nation at the year Asian Games" article. It has 14 parameters, some of which are optional:

NOC: required. This is the 3 letter IOC country code for the nation
flag: optional. This can be used to over-ride the default flag that is generated from the NOC code. The over-ride may be desired if a historical flag is desired, or if a non-bordered version of the flag is desired (bordered icon flags do not look good at larger resolution). The parameter is the name of the image file, without the rest of the image syntax.
flagcaption: optional. This can be used to over-ride the wikilink (normally "Flag of Nation" in case this is not the correct wikilink.
games: optional. If present, specified as a specific year and creates a new section with wikilinked header of "games Asian Games".
gamesloc: required if "games" parameter specified. Wikilink to host city of these Games.
competitors: optional. Number of competitors the nation sent. Leave blank if not known (do not use question mark, dash, etc.)
sports: optional. Number of sports the nation had entries in. Leave blank if not known (do not use question mark, dash, etc.)
flagbearer: optional. Name of the person who was flagbearer at the Opening Ceremonies, if any.
gold: optional. Number of gold medals.
silver: optional. Number of silver medals.
bronze: optional. Number of bronze medals.
total: optional. Total number of medals.
rank: optional. Rank in the medal table.
