Who are you and why are you doing it? Lguipontes (talk) 13:47, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am glad that you started to contribute to the English Wikipedia, but some of your changes look a bit disruptive.

September 2012[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Reconquista. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Bbb23 (talk) 15:38, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

AIV report[edit]

Hello Reiniger321. Thanks for all your hard work with the IPA tagging. This is to let you know that I've declined your report at WP:AIV, as the edits in question did not consist of obvious vandalism. It looks more like a content dispute than vandalism to me, and so the correct venue to file a report is at the dispute resolution noticeboard. I recommend also dropping a note at WikiProject Linguistics so that we can have some opinions from users who work in that area. (Disclaimer - I'm a member, but IPA is not really my thing.) — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 14:53, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you are serious about the allegation of sockpuppetry, then the best thing to do would be to file a new sockpuppet investigation. Best — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 14:58, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just seen your comment at AIV - for edit warring, the venue is WP:AN3, but it's not a good idea to file more than one report at a time, as that could be considered forum shopping. I stick with my recommendation to take this to the dispute resolution noticeboard, however. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 15:02, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Lguipontes (talk) 02:13, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lguipontes for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 10:02, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stalking[edit]

While there's nothing wrong with, from time to time, perusing other editors' history of contributions to check for accuracy (and fixing mistakes along the way), it seems as though you have taken this to an extreme. I understand you have not been contributing for very long, but when all of your edits take the form of following one user around and undoing their edits or challenging them every step in the way, it makes it look like you are doing what's called wikihounding.

This is a place where we like to assume the best in people, and I don't think you are intentionally making Lguipontes's experience unenjoyable, but I do believe that's the effect that you are having. I think you should ease up a little, maybe find other ways to clean up articles. In the meantime, I can take a look at the articles you two have been in dispute over, if anything to identify places where the conventions are unclear. — Ƶ§œš¹ [ãːɱ ˈfɹ̠ˤʷɪ̃ə̃nlɪ] 23:36, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit-warring warning[edit]

Hello Reiniger321. I see that you have been reverting Lguipontes's edits to Spanish and Portuguese IPA text again yesterday, on these articles: [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. This behaviour constitutes edit warring, and is not acceptable, even if you believe you are right. What you need to do now is to talk with Lguipontes and try and find a consensus on how to deal with the IPA symbols that you are disagreeing on. I recommend starting a new thread about this at the dispute resolution noticeboard, and notifying the editors at WikiProject Linguistics.

Please consider this a formal warning - if you revert Lguipontes's edits to IPA text in articles again without attempting any discussion, then I will block you from editing for a period of time at my discretion, in order to prevent further edit warring. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Best regards — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 09:38, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
