Happy Birthday
Disambiguation link notification
Hi. In Frank Fujita, you recently added links to the disambiguation pages Dutch and PFC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

- That was deliberate because there is no page for the Lost Battalion in question, foo'. S.G.(GH) ping! 11:48, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I should thank you I think for having put an AfD discuss on this, this would be one of the most odd turns I've had in starting an article stub. My area is hist bios, not popular culture. I had no idea that what I thought would be a bit of light relief and linguistic trivia would turn into something more serious - but very far indeed out of my area. I'm actually neutral on the thing, if no one else shows any input/ownership, left to my own devices I'd probably resolve it into a paragraph of an category:American writers BLP for James D. Delk, who otherwise doesn't seem a particularly notable author, rather than simply delete. But anyway. How long are you expecting to run the AfD for? In ictu oculi (talk) 13:14, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- AfDs run for seven days before closure, normally. S.G.(GH) ping! 13:29, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Can you hold a copy of article/sources just in case it gets deleted before then, and I'll see if there's enough additional material to justify an author bio. I'm not sure Delk's other books are that notable. But I haven't looked to see if any news media mentions him. Thanks. In ictu oculi (talk) 23:41, 13 December 2011 (UTC)- Apologies for changing mind, or having it changed for me, but I'm not sure I need 7 days of WP:PA. The subject was interesting and mildly amusing to me when I created it in category:urban legends, but I have no interest in it as event (sorry I'm sure that sounds backwards from most WP users but I'm a linguist), and I can't really consider James D. Delk is notable as an author, though perhaps military editors would. Is there any way you/I can speed up the process and just delete the thing? In ictu oculi (talk) 12:23, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

- AfDs are not personal attacks, the golden rule is to comment on content not contributors. It is no reflection on you. We've all had work AfD'd before. And no, unless it WP:SNOWBALLS, it is only closed at the end of the seven day run. S.G.(GH) ping! 13:31, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, of course not, I have no objection to the AfD, I'm neutral myself, and there's only been one personal attack. Thanks for your time. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:39, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hadn't seen IZAK's comment when I posted the above. AfD is still valid and won't be closed unless it snowballs, but shouldn't be used to comment on the editor. S.G.(GH) ping! 13:43, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
