Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Kirkland Lake, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:57, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Kirkland Lake. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Your personal site is not a reliable source. Further, please check our conflict of interest policy. Dusti*Let's talk!* 02:10, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies. I am attempting to add the name of a legitimately notable Kirkland Lake resident: Nadine Antoniazzi. It is not my intent to self-promote.

Hi Scott. I see you're trying to add an individual to the "Notable People" section. Please read our policy on notability and realize that, just because she may have been related to someone, she's not eligible for inclusion. Dusti*Let's talk!* 14:16, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Kirkland Lake. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Dusti*Let's talk!* 15:09, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:51, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

In response to the note posted at ANI, I have removed and deleted portions of this talkpage that were blatant violations of Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy. Wikipedia does not countenance the posting of accusations of criminal activity against living individuals unless prosecution has been initiated. Wikipedia is not a place to conduct investigations, reveal previously unknown truths, or to right great wrongs. If you abuse Wikipedia in this manner again, you may expect to have your editing privileges revoked. Acroterion (talk) 01:12, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What Acroterion says. I've gone through and deleted more, including the name, which I have removed from edit summaries since one thing can lead to another. Drmies (talk) 00:37, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
