Great Job
[edit]Hey, I see you have helped add to and clean up Magistrates of England and Wales, great job. :) Just to let you know Sentencing in England and Wales has recently been published and it could definitely use some attention in adding sources and lengthening the lead, the info is all correct it just need to be line sourced and there are plenty of sites mainly direct.gov that provide excellent sources. Just letting you know if you'd like to help seeing as you've done a great job on the magistrates.

DYK for Telegraph Island
[edit]On 24 August 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Telegraph Island, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the expression "going round the bend" is said to come from operators stationed on Telegraph Island who were desperate to escape to India by sailing round the bend in the Strait of Hormuz? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Telegraph Island. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

East Malling Research Station
[edit]Hi Shaibalahmar,
I just noticed that the Ditton article currently lists the EMRS as being "23 acres". I'm struggling to find the exact size (http://www.eastmallingtrustestate.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/East-Malling-Trust-Estate.pdf states that the East Malling estate is 500 acres - not clear how much of that constitutes the research station), but I'm sure it isn't 23 acres! I'm not an expert on land measures, but 23 acres would make it about 5% of the size of Mote Park, which seems nonsensical. Your view much appreciated. Regards, danno_uk 20:35, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Danno, thanks for your message. Yes, you're right. I think it should say that the EMRS started with 23 acres, see [[1]]. I've changed the article but please make your own changes Shaibalahmar (talk) 21:02, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the prompt response! I am happy to defer to you given your contributions to the article and your evidently superior googling skills! How on Earth did you find that? danno_uk 20:39, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not entrely sure how I found it.. I think I googled "23 acres East Malling Research Station" and up it popped! Shaibalahmar (talk) 15:48, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
