NB Esports moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to NB Esports. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability and the sources need to be reliable (neither Sportskeeda nor Liquipedia are reliable sources). Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – Pbrks (t • c) 14:46, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Pbrks, Are the team's or tournaments organizer's official social media reliable sources? Shakib69SH (talk) 16:03, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Primary sources can be reliable sources. However, they cannot be used to demonstrate the notability of a subject. To pass Wikipedia's general notability guidelines, a subject must have multiple published sources that are in-depth (not just passing mentions about the subject), reliable, secondary, and independent of the subject. – Pbrks (t • c) 18:53, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbrks if primary sources and multiple secondary sources have same information, can it be used to demonstrate the notability of a subject? Shakib69SH (talk) 03:21, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
They can, so long as they are reliable and contain significant coverage. – Pbrks (t • c) 14:23, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbrks I saw almost 3,000 articles used Sportskeeda as source. Some of them are : Real Madrid CF, Cristiano Ronaldo, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, List of WWE personnel, UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Cup awards, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, Shakib Al Hasan, Babar Azam and many more famous sportspersons and sports topic articles. If this is not reliable source, then it is used in almost 3,000 articles? Shakib69SH (talk) 07:41, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sportkskeeda has been discussed several times, for example here. The page Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Sources has a list of reliable and unreliable sources in the realm of video games and esports, which may help you locate reliable sources. – Pbrks (t • c) 14:13, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbrks, I know all sources I provided contains right information. But for more confirmation if I use primary sources (like official announcement about that from the pubg mobile officials) along with the existing sources, will it be enough? Shakib69SH (talk) 19:56, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, unreliable sources should not be used in articles. – Pbrks (t • c) 23:00, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbrks Okay then, I'm only using primary sources Shakib69SH (talk) 06:34, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbrks can you please review the draft? Shakib69SH (talk) 09:38, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Esports teams based in Bangladesh indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 15:53, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bangladesh Youth Development & Electronic Sports Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://iesf.org/country-member/bangladesh/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – Pbrks (t • c) 05:34, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I removed that part. please remove speedy deletion. Shakib69SH (talk) 06:42, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, I didn't copy from iesf.org/country-member/bangladesh/. Their representative provided me that text. and they used the same text in their linkedin and facebook. Their representative also send me the same text. Shakib69SH (talk) 07:07, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:This is the logo owned by BYDESA for Bangladesh Youth Development & Electronic Sports Association.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

— Ирука13 05:53, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
