I'm not a bot or anything and I don't understand why I was banned for edit that happened almost 16 months ago. I only redid the revision again way before because I thought it was someone who just didn't like that I was correcting the article; I understood the second time it was changed back when I realized I forgot to add sources to my edit and I eventually forgot about the whole thing. I know I was a dummy 7 years ago when I was much younger, but that isn't me at all. I only just found out about the ban when I was going to change Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner so it displays the proper link under Kris Jenner's spouses area. Does show me having a foreign IP address when I did that? If it does it's because I use a VPN often, but I know now you can't edit while on one; I don't remember if they had that 16 months ago though. I would very much like to be unblocked because I know better than to mess with articles on Wikipedia because I was an idiot for messing around back in August 2010. I do appreciate the mods, both paid and volunteer ones, who help keep Wikipedia an informative unbiased source of knowledge. Slyfoxninja (talk) 08:45, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

You are not blocked because of the edits made 16 months ago
. You are blocked because on 20 March (11 days ago) you attempted to edit One-dollar salary by replacing "Trump" with "Drumpf" (Special:AbuseLog/18078378). Please, address that issue in your next unblock request. Vanjagenije (talk) 13:21, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I remember now, I was trying to edit that entry with updated info because there wasn't a citation on it; I was trying to get confirmation on his dollar salary, but I couldn't so I was just going add the citation. I'm an idiot, I just noticed that I had the last week tonight extension enabled that replaced "Trump" with "Drumpf"; I did not mean for that to happen that is all on me and I apologize for the screw up. Decline reason:
You just changed "Trump" to "Drumpf" in the previous unblock decline - I've changed it back, but see here. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:40, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

It would be useful information to the reviewing admin to know whether or not you have removed this browser extension to prevent further vandalism. --Yamla (talk) 10:36, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- Materialscientist, I have confirmed that there is indeed a Chrome extension which replaces every occurrence of "Trump" with "Drumpf", so the explanation given above is plausible. Also, the amount of disruptive editing is very small for an indefinite block, particularly in view of the fact that there has been only one attempted edit (apart from the unblock request) since 2015. Would you agree to unblocking? The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:34, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- For what it's worth I would endorse this unblock request, pending the blocking admin's input. I can see why the user would be confused about the block: the notice is placed below a "December 2015" header and apparently other than tripping the edit filter log that one time they haven't edited in over a year. There was a wave of intentional Drumpf vandalism last year followed by a wave of inadvertent vandalism from folks who installed the extension and weren't aware that it was also changing their Wikipedia edits (see [1]), resulting in the filter, so indef was not an overreaction here at all. But assuming good faith that Slyfoxninja has disabled the extension now, it seems the problem is resolved. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 15:47, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- They haven't disabled it - see my unblock decline. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:43, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- Heh, I didn't think Vanjagenije would have made that mistake. I should've checked. Yeah I totally agree, turn off the extension before you try to edit again. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 20:14, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- I have disabled and removed it from my extensions. If I knew this extension was going to cause issues with Wikipedia I wouldn't have bothered with it. What's funny is that all this started with me looking up the one dollar men for my college history class. Slyfoxninja (talk) 21:00, 8 April 2017 (UTC)

I removed the extension from Chrome so this never happens again. Slyfoxninja (talk) 22:41, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

Your recent edits on this page appear to be free of the "Drumpf" problem, so I'm happy to accept that you have finally disabled that browser extension. Your account is now unblocked, welcome back. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:49, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
