A tag has been placed on Draft:Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Kanchrapara, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, thanks for message. I don't know what you are asking me, you have the draft here already . there are problems that you need to address before moving it to article space

  • it does not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the school claims or interviewing its management. Most of your text was unreferenced, or sourced only to the school. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
  • You only tell us about the courses you offer and some sport, which looks promotional. You don't tell us how many students there are or how they are organised. It would also help if you gave age ranges, since not all countries have the same class numbers as India
  • If you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for the school, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the school you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Souravdas1998. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Souravdas1998/Archives/2017|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

User:Jimfbleak, I modified the article on the basis of the above points suggested by you. Now you can have a look on that Draft:Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Kanchrapara. After seeing, suggest me some more flaws, if presentSouravdas1998 (talk) 13:04, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I made some more tweaks, including where you need clarification for non-Indian readers. You should put the numbers of staff and students in the text as well as the infobox. Ideally, some more third-party references would help, but may noT be available Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:22, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help regarding patrols. Reply

[edit]

Thank you for your question on my Talk Page. As requested, I am replying here on yours. You asked me to clarify my detailed answer to you to this question at the Teahouse. Here is the follow-up question you then asked me: Hi, respected Nick Moyes, I asked you few days ago something regarding patrols in Teahouse. You talked something about bots. I didn't understand it then. Can you please again make me understand about that thing. My doubt is that my statistic page shows that I have Zero patrols, but I have edited many random articles and corrected many typos, as I am a Random page patroller and typo patroller.

I did not mention bots at all. You can ignore them. They are not relevant to your question. My reply tried to tell you that you are wrong to believe the type of edits you have been making will be counted as a "Patrol". See your details edit count here. It correctly shows your Patrol count as Zero. I can see from your edit history that you have been doing useful work to fix typos and other errors, but this kind of patrolling is completely different from New Page Patrolling, which does get counted separately. As I tried to explain, every one of your edits is listed at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Souravdas1998, and these show the type of work you have been doing. You have done nothing wrong - all your edits are there to be seen, and I'm delighted you are now leaving clear edit summaries with every one. (You could probably try to mark more of them as minor edits, too) I hope this extra explanation makes sense. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 13:47, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To expand on Nick's reply, if you click on the zero patrol count number it links to your patrol count, which in turn has a wiklink from "patrolled" to WP:New pages patrol/patrolled pages, where it explains that the pages concerned are those patrolled by reviewers. And to expand on another point in Nick's reply, if you're not sure of the definition of a minor edit it is at Help:Minor edit. --David Biddulph (talk) 14:19, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You Nick Moyes and David Biddulph for your immediate help. I am trying to understand this. It may take some time to understand fully as I am new. I will seek more help from you in future, Souravdas1998 (talk) 16:13, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
