Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, GlobeStar Systems, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! February 2017[edit]

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Tiago from GlobeStar}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Yunshui  16:46, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Yunshui: The username here was OK. Usernames such as "John at Acme Company" are acceptable according to Wikipedia:Username policy. The other reasons for blocking were valid, of course. ~Anachronist (talk) 10:51, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Anachronist: Yes, but this username isn't in that format. Connexall is the name of the parent company, GlobeStar Systems (GSS) is the name of the subsidiary. There is no personal name anywhere. Yunshui  07:30, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, right, you are correct. Somehow I thought that was a personal name. ~Anachronist (talk) 06:53, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

The former username at use is one that isn’t accepted so I would like to change it to match your policy. Hello, this is Tiago Silva writing here. I work for GlobeStar Systems and I was informed that one of our former employees, Carla Pacheco, violated Wikipedia policies that lead to the account and IP blocking. We do not review ourselves in these attitudes and on behalf of the company, I would like to apologize. If this account is unblocked I, firstly, would write Connexall and GlobeStar Systems pages on Wikipedia, always following your rules and policies. Other contributions I might write in Wikipedia: about healthcare conferences that I have knowledge.

Decline reason:

Unfortunately, it does not appear that you are the original account owner. Our policy on WP:COMPROMISED and WP:ROLE accounts is that they would need to remain blocked. You may also want to read out Conflict of interest policies. You really shouldn't write about your employer per those policies. SQLQuery me! 03:57, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • (Non-administrator comment) You tried to post your unblock request inside the block template -- that would mean that it would not show up in CAT:UNBLOCK, and you'd be standing here forever, looking happy, waiting for some sort of response. My name isnotdave (talk/contribs) 19:57, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That username is fine, so I have performed the rename. Your unblock request does not convince me you have read and understood WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO so I'm leaving the unblock request open. I strongly suggest you read these policies and modify your request to explicitly state what specific actions you will take to adhere to those policies. Hint: the answer we are looking for is in the policies. --Yamla (talk) 12:27, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly worth noting in addition that the user who composed the unblock request does not appear to be the original account owner... Yunshui  12:48, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
