What's the board on Wikipedia for reporting vandalism to admins? In my 10 or so years of absence, I have forgotten its name.

TitanSymphony (talk) 09:40, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That would be WP:AIV. 331dot (talk) 09:40, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! TitanSymphony (talk) 09:42, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:TitanSymphony, thanks for reporting users to WP:AIV. I would encourage you to refresh yourself with Wikipedia:Vandalism#How_to_respond_to_vandalism when you have a chance. Some of the users you reported recently haven't vandalized since receiving a warning, and that falls under Step 5 of the above: "While not strictly required, administrators there are most likely to respond rapidly to requests which include at least two warnings, culminating in the level-four "last chance" template." Consider waiting to see if a user continues vandalism after a warning before reporting, rather than reporting if they stop their disruption after receiving a warning. Good day!

I dropped by to seek your help in preventing vandalisms on the page Ang Probinsyano perpetrated by User:Kazu parungao. I'd like to point out that the edits he makes is moot and academic considering that those points he is raising is adequately addressed in the notes attached to the characters which the user is editing. The fact that the information is obvious if the user only took the time to read the attached note makes the mootness of his edits all the more glaring. The fact that the user persists in doing so, in my view, warrants him or her to be sanctioned.

Warmest regards. Gardo Versace (talk) 12:02, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Kazor

[edit]

My brother is Steve Kazor. He has asked me to remove certain info from his page that is either too personal, too specific, or erroneous. I made 10 edits today... Slowly and methodically to ensure the correct GENERAL information is appearing. With one swipe somehow you undid everything i worked on!! Please stop reverting the back back! Kaliena22 (talk) 21:04, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Kaliena22: Unfortunately we can't believe what you're stating, since you haven't proven it yet. I have reverted your newest edits. TitanSymphony (talk) 21:17, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Edit Filter

[edit]

Just a FYI, once your account becomes "confirmed" (required 4 days and some minimal amount of edits that you have already surpassed), you will trip a lot fewer edit filters. Sasquatch t|c 22:28, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cool. TitanSymphony (talk) 00:09, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. Unfortunately, until then, you will probably continue to trip the "rapid revert" edit filter. You can request Confirmed Rights early at WP:RFR if you want, but admins usually don't grant this right to newcomers. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 02:41, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I can live with that. I've only got one more day though. TitanSymphony (talk) 02:42, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop posting about this to WP:AIV That is not the proper place to make your complaints. Sasquatch t|c 02:47, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
About the "Bot-reported" false positives? OK, I shall stop. TitanSymphony (talk) 12:26, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, I don't think so. I have long forgotten the password to my first account. I have no quibs about "making a fresh start under a new name", though. That way, I can avoid some of the mistakes I made previously (e. g. cluttering my user page with userboxes!) TitanSymphony (talk) 12:26, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey...

[edit]

Why is MY edit, to Alistair Brownlee, listed as a possible BLP violation? TitanSymphony (talk) 12:42, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Special:AbuseFilter/364 tags all not-yet confirmed user's changes to information in infoboxes as a possible BLP violation. It's an automated thing because most people who just join Wikipedia aren't as helpful on the anti-vandalism front as you have been. Please don't take it personally. If you have any more questions about the WP:Edit filter, you can ask me on my talk page. Cheers. Sasquatch t|c 15:33, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Whew! Hopefully this problem fades by tomorrow morning! TitanSymphony (talk) 15:34, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warn after Reverts

[edit]

Hi TitanSymphony, It would be best if you warned the vandals after each revert. You can use Twinkle to make it easier and faster.

Cheers, --BoothSiftTalks 01:26, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@BoothSift: How do I enable Twinkle? I took a quick scroll down Preferences, but I can't find it! TitanSymphony (talk) 01:27, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Hungarian folk songs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
