Hi tow trucker I really don't know how to use this and am not sure if I will find your reply. But I wanted help on deletion of an article. I tried to read the pages and got to a template for speedy removal but didn't know what to do next. There is a horrible article with our names in it and we would like it deleted speedily as I am sure wikepedia does not support such articles. Thanks for your note TT. Am a relatively new contributor to Wiki who is very upset at how vicious and arbitrary some editors can be. I contributed an article about a very notable and humane attorney that was AfD by one editor who is hell bent on getting it off Wiki. Wikibowler Question

You asked me to give you more information and a link to the article/TALK segment that I am complaining about. This interface is confusing, so I am not even sure that this is the place or this is the method to use to respond to your request for more information, but I will assume that it is and direct you to go to my User page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Wikibowler to find out the whole story of my recent, quite unsatisfactory experience in joining this community.

The article in question is about a Dr. Burzynski, a pioneer in the use of a controversial new approach to treating people with terminal brain cancer. The method is controversial, because it challenges the mainstream method of treating cancer patients. The issue at question is the blatant lack of neutrality that leaks though every paragraph of the article and the character assassination that is occurring on the page, as noted not merely by me, but also by many other observers on the TALK page, where I attempted to join the conversation, but was rudely rebuffed—twice.

The page seems to have been hijacked by forces that are desperate to paint the doctor as a quack while also attempting to steal his patents. The behavior on display is irrationality fueled by greed, and the main players are the Food and Drug Administration, the National Cancer Institute, and pharmaceutical industry. I've personally seen this behavior at work previously in another context, and I attempted to share my insights on the comments page. But your editors/administrators would have nothing of that sort revealed: they prefer to silence the truth, probably by citing some arcane Wikipedia policy that suits their particular agenda. That makes them—and the Wikipedia—complicit in the biased attack on the subject of the article. Fortunately, visitors to the page are seeing through the distortions presented in the article, because the overall ratings indicate that people have no trust either in the accuracy of the content being presented, nor in its completeness. I guess your readership is not as stupid as the authors and editors of that article, who seem to be part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Following the rejections of my comments from the TALK about-the-article page, I decided to dedicate my user page to narrate the story of my highly unsatisfactory experience as a new editor/contributor, while also publishing—in their entirety—the text of the articles that were so rudely rejected from the TALK page. I mean, it's not as if I plunged right in and started to fix the multitude of lies, half-truths, and distortions in the original article itself. I first waded into the pool by providing my insights on the TALK page, where I observed that several other people had bitterly complained about the lack of neutrality in the original article, only to be met with a ongoing series of stubborn, ignorant editors/administrators who frustrated those observers and refused to make or to allow the kinds of fundamental changes in text, in structure, and in tone that would correct the egregiously offensive posture taken throughout the original article. So, if you see my story exposing them in all their follies, you now know why. "Editors" like that do not serve the overall mission of an online encyclopedia, as long as that mission is to provide the truth about a subject with fairness and objectivity. The article on Dr. Burzynski is a hatchet job from start to finish, and, for the good of the public, as well as the good of the Wikipedia project, it should not be allowed to be published as it stands now. If the Wikipedia has degenerated to the point where incompetent, narrow-minded, biased editors/administrators are now in charge of the tone of the content, then the wolves have taken over the chicken coop and the integrity of the Wikipedia itself is compromised.

Hi Tow Tucker, I am new at wikipedia (and also i am not a native in english.) I just created the article of Stefan Obermaier and I tried my best to fit to the "guidelines on the notability of music-related topics" (the musician has already a gold award, he has even an own room in a very famous museum of sound and music, he has released at a major label now 3 albums, etc.) -I think it fulfills the criteria. I will put actual news magazine articles (as additional references), when new ones come out, but what can I improve now to meet wikipedia's criteria? In the german version it is already approved. hi, is it ok now? all the past articles are too old -not important or relevant to mention (in my opinion), and because the artist has 2 releases out now this month, the new articles will come out soon and they can be relevant, but in the moment is that enough? -the old ones/mentionings are really too old and mainly playlists.. is the mentioning on the site of the museum not enough?
