Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:20, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please remember that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors on Isidro A. T. Savillo. If you create or edit an article, remember that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Improving the article
[edit]Hi Towering peaks. I apologize for making drastic changes to an article you clearly deeply care about. But now that I have found it, I would like to continue to work on it and improve it so it reaches the Wikipedia standard. I'll consult with you first, unless you don't want anyone else to edit the article, which I think hurts both Wikipedia and the subject of the article (who appears to be an accomplished scientist and deserves a decent article). Please let me know what you think. Thanks. madambaster (talk) 19:53, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- Besides the Introduction- the six subheadings have to be utilized basing on the progress of the article- for eg. the subheading two will be scientist/ researcher and subheading 3 will be Organizer of Int'l Societies/Chapters and Leadership, subheading 3 will be until it reaches the last subheading 6 which will be on interests and awards... we are looking into this cascading structures... the next section remains as is as Writer/Traveler. Infobox scientist remains as it. Show me your sandbox. I would like an about to be finished article not a stub which you did.Towering peaks (talk) 22:05, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- Ok that sounds much better than what it is now. For the subheadings, I think an article like the one for Leland Hartwell could serve as a good template. Can I ask why the infobox has to remain the same? I think some of the schools could be put under Institutions or Alma mater, whichever is correct. That information could also just be written out under an Education section. There is still the problem of what information should be included and the number of inline citations. madambaster (talk) 22:49, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

The article has now the subheadings... use isidro savillo as google searchTowering peaks (talk) 16:19, 24 September 2014 (UTC}
By the way, this all the information that is needed for this article- DO NOT ADD ANYTHING. The rest will be explored through the net. inline citations will be edited later. Towering peaks (talk) 16:25, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, um why did you remove my previous comment? Anyway, I would argue there is too much information that could either be said in a different way or removed completely. Also, how is reference 41 appropriate? It does not verify in any way that he worked there. In the infobox, it should not say under institutions "Advanced trainings/researches and/or post graduate academic requirements were undertaken at the"; a simple list will suffice. More importantly, where does Isidro Savillo currently work? madambaster (talk) 16:42, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- Also, I think we should take this discussion over to the talk page of the article itself.madambaster (talk) 16:49, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Isidro A. T. Savillo, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Auric talk 16:45, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

Hey now
[edit]I never claimed to be an expert and will readily admit that most of my edits on Wikipedia have been pretty minor. I'll also admit that I did a bit of disruptive editing by slapping on all the "not in citation given" tags and that was wrong. I have no ulterior motives in editing the article (would be interested in knowing what you think these are) and I'm still interested only because it's been kind of fun. My KEY issue with the article remains the same: excessive citation. It's okay to verify every statement, but you don't need 5 references to verify that he studies lichens. I think the article would benefit from both taking out some citations and bundling/merging others. And saying that things are "important for the article" hasn't convinced me that they are important. madambaster (talk) 18:02, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
