I'm Tesseractic and I want to welcome you to Wikipedia!

Wikipedia is an amazing community adventure which is constantly being edited. There are many different versions of Wikipedia for many different languages, and the English version has 6,916,445 articles which are written by volunteers like you and me! We even have a newspaper, The Signpost, to keep you up to date with news and new developments. Making your first steps on Wikipedia can be hard sometimes, so if you need any help, don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page or ask a question on your talk page by clicking here. Wikipedia has five pillars which summarize Wikipedia's fundamental principles:

  1. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia
  2. Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view
  3. Wikipedia is free content that anyone can use, edit, and distribute
  4. Editors should treat each other with respect and civility
  5. Wikipedia has no firm rules

Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, Trucks7op, and thanks for all the biographies you've been creating, including several of women. I look forward to many more. I'm impressed with your creations which I've just been assessing. Many of them have deserved a C rating. It's good to see that in addition to translations, you have started to create biographies yourself. When you feel ready to create biographies of women, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 13:56, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Taller Torres Garcia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Juan Pardo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Electrical engineers by nationality

[edit]

Thanks for your hard work on deorphaning a page. I appreciate it! I noticed that you added Category:Electrical engineers by nationality to Christopher Neyor with this edit[1]. Please don't add container categories to pages, categories that end in "by nationality" mean that that category contains a all the different Electrical engineering categories for many different nationalities. If the right nationality doesn't exist, you should instead add the page to Category:Electrical engineers. One good strategy is to look at the category to see what other pages/categories are in it. Thank you for the tip, I appreciate you catching that error. ~ Trucks7op (talk) 02:46, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Avgeekamfot. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Fez, Morocco, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I removed your addition because it was sourced to Simple Flying which is not a reliable source. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
