MAM
[edit]I wonder if you have been to MAM. There is a Coventry border signpost in the road outside MAM, and the entrance is in Coventry. It is ran by Coventry Council. I agree it is difficult to place, but it seems to me that it is in Coventry. Snowman 20:39, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Warwick is not Leamington
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions. It may seem logical to you that schools in other areas that have a catchment in nearby towns should be mentioned. However, for the purpose of Wikipedia articles, we must remain factual. Schools that are in Warwick are not in Leaminton even if the towns are quite close, and I know they are because I come from not far away, and I write and contribute to a lot of articles about schools, and settlements in the Midlands. Please don't add these items to the pages again. Thanks, and happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:44, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- I disagree that mention of the specific schools that Leamington is in the priority area of implies, somehow, that they are actually in Leamington! It certainly isn't factually incorrect to state that Leamington is in the priority area of Myton School, so doesn't go against the policies of Wikipedia.
- However, here isn't the place for this discussion, we should continue this in the article talk page so that other interested parties might see it. Twopenneth (talk) 06:48, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- The correct place to mention the priority area of Myton School is in its article. All articles in the area should not list that they are in the area of various unrelated topics - that way is totally 100% incorrect. Sorry, that is the logic of wikipedia that articles should be about their topic. I hope this clarifies that things not in Leamington should not be listed as such. Due to the proximity of Myton to the Leamington border, this issue significantly adds to confusion, so is especially NOT helpful. Widefox (talk) 09:59, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
- Please discuss article content on the article's talkpage. I'll copy your comment to there, and reply to it there. [User:Twopenneth|Twopenneth]] (talk) 10:13, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. - Thank you for the confirmation about article ownership, and freedom to edit, it is as I understand it. As you may have noticed, there has been some intolerance of some of my edits receently - perhaps those concerned don't appreciate these fundamental principles. - Do you have consensus for your trashing of my edits? I would characterise my edits as constructive, they add factual information. On the other hand, I would characterise your edits as destructive, you have removed valid and topical content. Could you be blocked for being destructive? Twopenneth (talk) 11:57, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Twopenneth. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Twopenneth~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
