Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Two and a Half Men (season 3). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. AussieLegend (talk) 17:34, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. One or more of the external links you added in this edit to the page 90210 (season 2) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. You may wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Tommy2010 21:02, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Glee (season 1), please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Supernatural (season 5). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ωphois 04:52, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gossip Girl

[edit]

Hello, could you please read edit summaries to see why your edits were removed, and also write some yourself. Thing in an article should only be hyperlinked once (I didn't make this up, but I follow it none the less). Jayy008 (talk) 18:32, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to List of Drop Dead Diva episodes. Why would you remove information from the season 3 finale about reception then make a good edit and add sources for ratings. Makes no sense! Jayy008 (talk) 20:15, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to List of White Collar episodes has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. AussieLegend (talk) 14:40, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Gossip Girl (season 4), you may be blocked from editing. You make some good edits, yet some are not good. You make ZERO effort to discuss things and you don't put summaries in your edits! You will likely be blocked quicker than usual if you don't change these things. [edit]

Hello, can I ask why you never reply to people or use edit summaries? Some of your edits are bad but a lot are good. If you made the effort to discuss things you wouldn't get warnings. Could you please tell me where you find broadcast finals? Jayy008 (talk) 16:11, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. License tagging for File:GhostWhispererS5.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:GhostWhispererS5.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:07, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Serena fashion.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Serena fashion.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:44, 27 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 03:44, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:GhostWhisperer S3.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 04:30, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please be careful with the licenses in your image uploads

[edit]

Hi TyDwiki. I see you're new here, but I'll ask if you're please careful when you upload an image to choose the correct criteria. For the Charmed DVD images, you chose the option saying it was free and open software; it clearly isn't, it's a copyrighted DVD cover. If you have any questions, you can contact me, or better yet to message at the help desk. Thanks. Magog the Ogre (talk) 03:18, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:30Rock S4.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 01:09, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler TV is not considered reliable unless they source where they got the information from and that source is reliable (in which case, it should be the cited source, not Spoiler TV), which that page did not do. Further, Twitter accounts that have not been confirmed are also not considered reliable (there's no proof that it actually is that person). Any sources citing these uncomfirmed accounts are also considered unreliable. Edit summaries

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. Blocked again

[edit]

I see the previous block didn't get your attention. Hopefully this one will: I've blocked you for two weeks for continuing to add copyrighted material, despite many many warnings. You even acknowledged those warnings by removing another editor's material and calling it a copyright violation [1]. I don't know why you've chosen to ignore the warnings; I don't know if you're young and unable to understand them, or if you're inexperienced, or if you're just choosing to ignore them. If I have to put another block on you, it will result in a permanent block, and you will never be allowed to edit here again, under any screenname (and yes, we can track your other screennames). I suggest you think long and hard and ask around for any advice before you edit again. Magog the Ogre (talk) 22:37, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also including below how you may appeal this block:

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. just a note

[edit]

I saw your edit to season 7 of Medium and i thought to leave you a little note.
The press releases from ABC & CBS are a great source for title, air date, director, & writer(s). The schedule for FOX will have the title and air date. The NBC press site is done in flash and so it is not really referenceable. The press releases from ABC often have enough info that you can write a decent, albeit basic summary from that if you really want to. You can't copy it though. If you don't have access to press screening clips then it is best to wait until the episode is broadcast to write the summary so that you can make it detailed, accurate, and in your own words. You were helpful that one day i noticed you editing the list of Ghost Whisperer episodes. I hope you are able to get this sorted out. Cheers delirious & lost~hugs~ 01:07, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your episode summaries...

[edit]

Hello there. I see you are back to adding episode summaries to TV pages. Just a note: minor changes in wording from copyrighted material does mean it is not a copyright violation. For example, your edit to Cougar Town (season 2):

Copyrighted text: Jules says "I love you" to Grayson for the first time, but when Grayson doesn't reciprocate with the words she wants to hear, she's determined to host a "romantic" Thanksgiving in order force the moment on of him. Meanwhile, Ellie and Laurie team up to knock the optimism out of Andy, and Bobby is upset when the gang confesses that sometimes they can't understand what he's saying.
Your version (duplicate wording in bold): Jules says "I love you" to Grayson for the first time, and when he doesn't say it back, she throws a romantic Thanksgiving dinner in order to force the moment on of him; Ellie and Laure team-up to knock the optimism out of Andy; and Bobby is upset when the gang says that something it's hard to understand what he's talking about.
Copyrighted text: Jules feels instantly threatened when Ellie points out that, moving forward, any girl Travis brings home could be her future daughter-in-law. Meanwhile, Grayson's house has become the new place for the gang to hang out, which he hates, and Travis turns to Bobby for advice.
Your version (duplicate wording in bold): Jules feels instantly threatened when Ellie points out that any girl that Travis bring home can be her future daughter-in-law; Travis ask advice to Bobby; and Grayson hates when his house becomes the new place for the gang to hang out.

Your comment on Magog the Ogre's talk page states that you now understand the warnings you have received on copyright violations. If you seriously want to continue to edit on Wikipedia, I would suggest you read up on the policies/guidelines at WP:COPYVIO and WP:COPYPASTE#Can I copy-paste if I change the text a little bit? (and the more detailed Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing) before you add any more episode summaries. These really need to be in your own words. I'm not sure that you get it yet. Thanks. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 01:38, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. PiFeedback isn't allowed as a source as it's a forum. Thank you. Jayy008 (talk) 01:05, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Simply because it's a forum. I wouldn't waste your time even trying to discuss it. It's been back and forth so many times, but ultimately unless it's TVBTN that's posted the finals from Travis Yanan, PI isn't allowed. And yes, I've noticed Life Unexpected, but I really can't be bothered to change it. That's a lot of work and I'm sure somebody else will get to it. Jayy008 (talk) 19:30, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Because only finals should be used as overnight numbers are incorrect. Overnights are okay for a few hours because if they're not included then a million IP's will keep adding them, but when the finals come out, they have to be used. PS. Please don't delete your comments off my page, they're needed for my archives. Jayy008 (talk) 19:34, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
N/A will do fine, it's either that or remove ratings completely as somebody suggested in the various discussion. But I'd rather have some than none, wouldn't you? PS. I removed your source for GG season 4 episode 2 because it was overnight ratings copied from TVBTN. Jayy008 (talk) 19:41, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but that would be a waste of time. Many editors have taken part in the discussion and I mean many, and never found another source. I wish you good luck in doing so, but I really doubt you'll find another. If you do, though, please let me know. Episode 2 of 90210 was it's highest viewed episode since December but there's no finals source for it. Jayy008 (talk) 19:47, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's a fault on the website, check the date. I did it a while ago. I remember when I first looked at it, it was very similar to the overnight. The 1.81 number was a different week, there must be a server error. Sorry about the long reply, I was on the phone. Jayy008 (talk) 20:25, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The ratings and source you added were wrong, you added the week later. I've corrected it now, I'd advise checking the date the episode aired. Jayy008 (talk) 23:15, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings and sources.

[edit]

Actually, if you read it. It says "week-on-week" which means the first number was the previous week and the second number is the final for the current week. Jayy008 (talk) 23:27, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, now I have issues with it. How can we prove this is reliable? Jayy008 (talk) 23:31, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I know, but 90210's second episode achieved 2.16m viewers in over nights and I'm 100% sure it stayed the same. Jayy008 (talk) 23:36, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I've recently adding information above the episode section about two series lows. Unfortunately, I don't know how to use "ref name" with the cite web format. Can you add ref names to the refs for episodes 3 and 7 please? jayy008 (talk) 22:39, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gossip Girl

[edit]

Where is this disucussion? I agree, though. They're not notable enough to all have their own pages, but we can't delete them, admins need to delete them. Only some are notable enough like big event episodes with lots of media coverage. Jayy008 (talk) 00:52, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have gone ahead and redirected all the non-notable episodes from season 4 to the "List of..." page. I have left the first two episodes and the "Easy J" episode. They seem notable as they've had media coverage and reception. Jayy008 (talk) 01:05, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

At the moment, "Last Tango, Then Paris" and "Belles De Jour" are notable. So I'd look to them as a canvas as to what pages should be. Obviously, they're not perfect. But they meet notability, so if a page doesn't have the information they have, then they should be redirected. Jayy008 (talk) 13:05, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DVR ratings

[edit]

I don't have an objection to them being in the article and in their own section. They can't be in the viewers section in the episdoe list with the other ratings because they all have to be the same. Jayy008 (talk) 18:20, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No no, I mean do the same as Gossip Girl (season 4), the thing you did a few days ago. The only thing that can't be done is change the numbers in the episode box to +7 unless you can do it for all of them. Jayy008 (talk) 18:32, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused. What source are you going to use then? Jayy008 (talk) 18:36, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, nothing from PI feedback can be used as a source any more. Jayy008 (talk) 18:42, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay. It's a shame really, PiFeedback is reliable but under Wikipedia rules forums can never be used. If you need any help just ask. Jayy008 (talk) 18:46, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know where DVR ratings are posted. I only see what TV by the Numbers posts, that's the only website I know. Jayy008 (talk) 19:19, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

List of...

[edit]

Do you mean the Neilson rankings section? That would be great. By the way, the DVR ratings in the episode list makes it look kind of messy, I'm going to move DVR to it's own section like Gossip Girl. Jayy008 (talk) 17:54, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Jayy008 (talk) 18:57, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Those List of pages don't have summaries. The summaries are located on the individual season pages. That's the rule anyway, no episode summaries can be copied per Wikipedia:COPYVIO, they will be challenged and removed. I'm confused about what you mean about DVR numbers? Jayy008 (talk) 23:07, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, I won't. I moved them to the "reception" section. Only one list of ratings is needed for the episode list. The DVR numbers are now in a paragraph. Jayy008 (talk) 23:16, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked again

[edit]

I've blocked you again for two weeks for creating more copyright violations. The plot summaries you've been adding have been copied from another source, with very small changes made to them. This is still a copyright violation. I'm not sure if you do it because you have trouble with English, but it's not acceptable. Don't do it; if you have to, don't even look at the original source from the networks. You have assured us on several occasions that you understand. Let me give an example below of a small change in writing; it's still considered plagiarism.

  • Alison's brother, Michael, is possessed by a demon of supernatural strength and anger (original)
  • Michael becomes possessed by a demon of supernatural strength and anger (your version)

Your most recent copyright violation was blatant again. You just got lazy and copied and pasted the whole thing.

This is me being extremely lenient with you. Most administrators would block you indefinitely by now, but I can tell you really want to contribute. So I'm going to give you some time off to think about the problems you've had. When you come back, please don't make any more edits until you go through Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user, so someone can help teach you what's OK and what's not.
