Hi Bonadea, You're right! I will make sure to assume good faith in the future. Just so you know, the edits I was referring to in those comments were systematic deletions of my references and some of my sentences across multiple pages I had edited - the citations were not checked before they were removed. Citing Books

Thanks to your message. I'd like to explain what I was doing when I removed your cites. You had added a number of cites use webpages of a company that had re-published/translated some historical publications. These links may be good to have under a "Bibliography" section, but they are not suitable as sources because they cannot be used to verify content in Wikipedia (which is the point of sources).

For instance, on the Johannes Althusius article there is the sentence; "While studying at Basel, Althusius lived with Johannes Grynaeus for a period of time, with whom he studied theology." You added the following as a cite for this; "Johannes Althusius, On Law and Power. CLP Academic, 2013, p.xx."

But the reader following this cite to the source, they would find a webpage that merely verifies that CLPress published, and sells, "On Law and Power". There is absolutely nothing there regarding Althusius living with Johannes Grynaeus, and the page xx is nowhere to be seen.

Perhaps you meant to cite the book itself, rather than the publisher? If so, you can read how to do this here.
