Terminator Genesis VG article cleanup

[edit]

Hi I tried to clean up the "terminator" article(Terminator (video_game_system)) that you tagged..I'm a n00b so it's hard. Not an native English speaker either. Oh well, I'm trying, I love that console. byee! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonich03 (talkcontribs) 00:14, 5 February, 2007 (UTC)

Year 2038 Problem

[edit]

Thank you for your continued efforts to clean up and extend Wikipedia. I am, however, confused by your recent edit to the Year 2038 problem article. Can you explain why you removed the animated GIF in favor of a static SVG? For the time being, I have reverted the change. Jouster  (whisper) 18:40, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmmm. I think Privoxy on my machine must have staticized the image. My mistake. Emanla Eraton 18:54, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ksd5. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Bo2k 2005.png) was found at the following location: User:Ksd5/gallery. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 06:46, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Transistor signal.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Help with userboxes

[edit]

{{helpme}} I've placed a lot of userboxes on my userpage. You can see that they are not arranging properly. How do I align them to stay consistent ?

Hi there, the easiest way to position userboxes neatly would be to use a table and put the code for the userboxes in each cell of the table.

Basic Code for this would be:

{| class="wikitable" |- | {{user psychedelic}} | {{user piano}} | {{user band-2|Dead Meadow}} |- | {{User:Scepia/CVG music}} | {{User Indian music}} | {{User:Rugby471/Userboxes/vlc}} |- | {{User:Everchanging02/UBX/Most music}} |}

If you need anymore info on tables have a look at Help:Table Andyreply 22:35, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The YnD

[edit]

The article The YnD has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 22:52, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help with galleries

[edit]

{{helpme}} Would a gallery be the last section on a page, or right before References?

Typically it's set up right before References. However, there is no "rule" on where it goes. See WP:PIC#Photo gallery for more help. Hoof Hearted 15:26, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What plant precisely do you mean by Mountain Pink, the Dianthus cultivar Dianthus 'Mountain Pink'? In this case it has to go in as a cultivar. Are you using this as the common name for more than one species? In this case it should be a disambiguation page. Are you using this as the common name for a specific species of Dianthus, maybe Dianthus myrtinervins? In this case, it goes under its scientific name. Please let me know, and if you need any help moving. KP Botany 03:26, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not exactly sure what plant it is. I asked USer:Stemonitis, but he said that it would be hard without a Latin name. I can take more pictures of the plant and put them up, if it makes it any easier to find out what plant it is. However, it does look like Dianthus armeria, in which any case, I could delete this article. Emanla Eraton 12:12, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It might be a bit hard to tell just from pictures of a pink, unless you ask a local botanist, or know that it is a native plant and can confirm its natural in its habitat. Whatever you decide, the article has to be under its scientific name if its not a cultivar. KP Botany 17:09, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Bo2k 2005.png

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Bo2k 2005.png. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:10, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Hello Ksd5,

My name is Anthony, I'm french and I'm the principal administrator of Ekopedia. I've seen on Wikipedia that you spoke Kannada.
Would you like to create Ekopedia in this language?

Amy Chua

[edit]

Hi, I removed your 'Controversy' header from Amy Chua, not because I don't think her views are likely to be controversial, but because the anon ip who edited before you made some claims to those views being controversial without giving any source. (I doubt if there could be any source yet, since her piece in the Wall Street Journal only appeared today.)--Jimbo Wales (talk) 23:49, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited PJP Landfill, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Greenspace (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:27, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Joeffice has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable 3rd party evidence that this software (at Alpha release stage) meets the notability criteria.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
