Hi, Victor, concerning your 'merciless deletions' or 'reversal' of
1. my genuine contributions to the 'Mary Immaculate High School in Borivili' page. First of all let me introduce myself. I have been on Wiki but only started to contribute lately. One reason is that I believe I only live once and don't care to waste my precious time on 'fake' information. I was trying to give tribute to my 83 year old mother, who btw is very much alive!!!! and known to quite a few people (oldies) in Borivili. My family 'MARTIN' has contributed to this town since 1961. Now, I might have been a 'little green' in my 'contribution' however I did follow instructions and left my contact info. Hoping that someone who knew the focus of my subject would care to contribute. Kindly let me know if we are talking about the same thing. Another thing, I would like to know if you are an authorized editor? as there is often misinformation in Wikipedia which I try to rectify and hope the contributor will contact me in an effort to mutually 'educate' one another, as I am sure you too mean well by you vigilante perceptions. Third and really crucial question, how are you connected with my home town, I mean well, there are Lopes around here an I am doing a geneology search on my family, this info would really help. btw,and 'wanna','gonna' and international slang unless mentioned in a similar captioned page does not really sound condusive to an intellectual enviornment for a place like Wikipedia or the educative web, again I mean well, you can continue in any slang barring racist, abusive slang in communications in the future provided it is not available to the general public. Take care now, Neaben@gmail.com--Neazcool (talk) 06:21, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Warning users about deletion
Hi :-) Talk about bad timing ! Since your message before, I've been endeavouring to remember to add warnings to users pages whenever I prod or tag for CSD - probably around 90/95% of the time - and you managed to hit one of the few I didn't ! Aarrgghh ! Still, my excuse is that I do it all manually - no Twinkle, Huggle or Wombles here :-) CultureDrone (talk) 14:54, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- It reminded me to check though - I found a couple of prods where I hadn't warned the author - they're now warned :-) CultureDrone (talk) 15:09, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
CultureDrone (talk) has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend, and remember: "All men are created equal, but ambition, or lack of it, soon separates them."Cheers, and Happy editing!
Smile at others by adding {{subst:Smile}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
- Hehe - don't take it personally :-) No, I've no problem with being told I've made a mistake (if I actually have) - I've even got a userbox to that effect on my userpage. I'm trying to apply WP policies (and suggestions) where appropriate, so if I miss any and you spot them, feel free to let me know. As to why I don't use Twinkle...I'm not sure really - never having seen it in use, I don't know how much use it would be for the type of tasks I do. I suppose you could say that using tools is both good and bad - good in that it makes editing easier and hopefully ensures all necessary steps are carried out for a particular type of issue, bad in that you become dependent on the code doing all the work for you, which could cause problems if something ever did go wrong. I might have a fiddle with it at the weekend and see what it's like - maybe I'm just a masochist at heart ! :-) CultureDrone (talk) 07:19, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Asia Pacific Resources International Holdings
I found some references for Asia Pacific Resources International Holdings and added them to the article. I think that notability has been demonstrated, so I removed the speedy tag. --Eastmain (talk) 02:35, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
thanks for the wikilove. It's certainly more fun than packing and moving. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 02:23, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
What part of external link guideline says we should include MySpace pages? The part under LINKS TO AVOID that says "Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace), chat or discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups), USENET newsgroups or e-mail lists. " Oh no I am sorry, that is the part of the policy that backs my position removing links to MysSpace and fansites. As the policy does for my recent edits removing links to non-english sites or removing links to personal web pages. (also under LINKS TO AVOID around #10, 11, and 12)
We also have from the External links page "Wikipedia's purpose is not to include a comprehensive list of external links related to each topic. No page should be linked from a Wikipedia article unless its inclusion is justifiable."
The links I have removed have not been links whos value for being included is justifiable under the Links to Include guidelines.
Sorry, but both you and Gwen are wrong.
I dont want to get into an edit war with you, so I will let you self revert after you review the guideline-- The Red Pen of Doom 03:02, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Gackt links
Thanks for your help with that- we get a lot of crazy stuff on there considering who the page is about, haha. Thanks again for the back up. (Tsukiakari (talk) 03:43, 9 July 2008 (UTC))
- Oho, look at the previous post, hahaha. (Tsukiakari (talk) 03:44, 9 July 2008 (UTC))
- Ah, well it might help if they're a regular jrock fan- easier to deal with, haha. Thanks again, and don't hesitate to check in there. I think jrock pages tend to get the best and most creative vandalism, as irritating as it is. (Tsukiakari (talk) 04:11, 9 July 2008 (UTC))
- Well, of course. I didn't say they were being vandals but that in general we get rather interesting page edits sometimes. ;) (Tsukiakari (talk) 20:57, 9 July 2008 (UTC))
deletion
Honestly I don't believe that the "Annotations of an Autopsy" page should be deleted 'cause the 1st paragraph is from their facebook page in the light of "if the band put it there" and they don't mind that it's copied straight from their facebook. I know that's very not ordinary but if the group themselves don't mind why should we? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.228.46.98 (talk) 20:00, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- As a long time user and lover of Wikipedia I strongly believe in honoring copyright laws. I think that anything that has been directly copied from anywhere is illegal. Thank you for noticing the mistake.--76.228.46.98 (talk) 20:49, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Killswitch1973

Attock Cricket Club
Hi Victor, I've given this article a thorough overhaul, dealing with one or two of the concerns you tagged it with, but I'm still not sold on the notability of the subject. I'm tempted to put it up on articles for deletion. What do you think? Reyk YO! 03:10, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not that familiar with the league the club plays in. I don't know how professional or prominent it is, and I can't find many sources beyond the league website and the club website (that is, nothing much independent of the subject). I'll leave this for someone more knowledgeable than me. Reyk YO! 03:29, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
About the posting on the Aranya article
I agree that the article may not be upto the standards but that is why this is an open encyclopaedia. My major concern is the citation issue. The university organizes its technical festivals in a particular year and after the year the website is deleted. No full details thus do remain on the web but for the blogs of the winners(Whoseover feels like to write them). Because the festival was absent from the encyclopaedia, I have summed up whatever I could gather for 2006. I also can't guarantee regarding the 2007 content I am about to put up to look as you said - "Like an encyclopaedia". But I have left it open for anyone who had been a part of the festival to modify. As far as the 2008 edition is concerned, the website is coming up: www.aranyatech.org and I plan to write out the proposed events in the article. Any aid from your side so that i could improve this article so that it remains in the encyclopaedia is welcome. I have just put up the article today and i think the third persons involved will soon improve it. The article needs some time actually to improve to the level as others have and please don't refer it for deletion before it matures. Do reply and tell me what I could do. i really wish to put up atleast the names of the events that took place in Aranya 2007 and are scheduled for 2008.Atishay811 (talk) 19:45, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism
Your recent edit to Archie Gets A Job was vandalist. Please don't do this anymore.--Oldsunnygirl (Talk) —Preceding comment was added at 21:08, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- Just to clearify things, the edit to which she refers is my redirecting of a page which only content (apart from tags) was: "Archie Gets a Job was an unpopular comic book published by Archie Comics. It only had one issue." Damn, I should be blocked for doing such a thing, shouldn't I? ¬¬' Victor Lopes (talk) 05:59, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
To The Top
As The University of Southern Mississippi has alumni in all 50 states and 12 countries this is known all over the world. I understand your reasoning, but this goes back to the if x exists then y can exist. Articles of the similar vein exist for most campuses exist on wikipedia, therefore if you delete these articles for The University of Southern Mississippi too. Every article I have included is both relevant and notable. The All-American Rose Garden was featured in a national magazine and features 12 species of Roses only found in the garden. No disrespect intended, but if that my friend is not notable I don't know what is. Southern Miss is one of the top 100 schools googled according to a Harvard Student study. I recognize the importance of wikipedia in imaging and am trying to provide useful information to those who are looking for information on Southern Miss. I would appreciate you not negating my work because you feel it is not notable since you have no knowledge of it. Every major university in a state is notable and deserves to be recognized as such.I included links to a few articles from outside of Hattiesburg that mention it. thanks for your time

Thanks man. I completely understand about the song thing. How do I go about reporting the other pages similar to mine that have been allowed to remain while mine is not notableByxeagle (talk) 04:52, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Reporting an administrator
Greetings Victor,
How do I go about reporting an administrator to the higher ups. Not all administrators are as pleasant to work with as you, and one particular is causing me a problem.Byxeagle (talk) 04:47, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
One of my article was deleted without it being put up on AFD. She just deleted it. I put it on the deletion discussion and everyone so far has responded that her decision should be overturned and if anything it should be put on AFD to be discussed. Since that point she has went back and tagged every article I have submitted as "notability in question". This is very immature action by her because she didn't follow the rules and deleted my article without notification and got called on it.Thanks for your help so farByxeagle (talk) 04:56, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
About Akkara Kazhchakal
Hi Victor,
Thanks for reviewing our entry on wiki. But I would like to substantiate the following :
1. We are heavily searched on Google and other search engines with information about the show running into pages. Google and Yahoo suggest tools(which gives the list of most searched keywords) show our name and their creators.
2.All the artists are amatuers and hence the links are not working ; this has been removed.
3.This program is aired on Kairali T.V , one of the prestigous T.V stations in India and watched by millions of viewers. This station is known for the quality of content and you can read more about it on Wiki.
4.We also run a parllel station on Youtube which relays the same content for our viewers spread across the globe who does not have access to Malayalam channels in the respective countries.
5.We are a huge hit in Youtube with our statistics showing us that we are one of the most watched comedy for the couple of days after release of each episode on youtube.
Hence I would press the need for keeping Akkara Kazhchakal on Wiki. This will helps our millions of viewers to keep up with this sitcom and get up to date information.
Hoping that you will give us our due consideations.

warning
Hello, I'm the Master of Pies.
1. I was confused over your edit. I though that you vandalized and said vulgar language and said your name. My mistake. 2. However, your edit was better beforehand, so you shouldn't have touched that. 3. Read the keeping cool while the editing gets hot. Your sarcasm was not appreciated.--Master of Pies (talk) 00:38, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi - remember me ? No - well, thanks for recommending Twinkle - very useful for new page patrols, but I still tend to do it the old way if I find one that slipped through the net....
However, the reason I'm here is to do with the article above. Basically, it's for a paintball marker (aka gun). To me, this looks like blatant advertising at worst, non-notable at best (the article even includes details of the price) - yet, there's a whole slew of articles, with their own template widget thing (sorry, I can't rememeber the term for that box at the bottom), which seem to have no 'real world' citations, references etc. Do you know if some decision was made to allow these to (apparently) violate WP:N, WP:RS etc, or do consumer products pass notability automatically ? WP:OUTCOMES seems to have nothing, so I'm at a loss to understand why no-one has removed them - or at the least, heavily edited out the advertising, speculative comments, and general opinions... I raised this at WP:EA, and the one response I got (so far) was to propose for deletion - but with so many articles involved, that would be a possibly contentious step. I've already got one administrators view about this whole category, but I'd appreciate that of another before I start making any changes, as I suspect it might get tricky...! Anyway, any thoughts you have would be appreciated. :-) CultureDrone (talk) 07:06, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oops - youre wikibreaking ! Good luck with the vestibular :-) CultureDrone (talk) 13:08, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
BugZap
Dear Victor
Why can other products have their description on WikiPedia an BugZap cannot?
Please delete the Microsoft Office 2008 Wiki page or the pages featuring other companie's products as well, treat everyone same way!

Year of birth missing vs Date of birth missing
Hi. Concerning this edit, I would like to note that for article pages we Category:Year of birth missing instead of Category:Date of birth missing. Please read instructions in these categories carefully. Thanks, Magioladitis (talk) 14:52, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
American Society of Nephrology
I can not believe that somebody has deleted the article about American Society of Nephrology (ASN) which a large not-for-profit organization of 11,000 physicians and scientists and publishes multiple internationally renowned medical journals. It is a prominent medical association and wikipedia already has articles about other medical associations. American Heart Association, American Lung Association. Everyone will agree that this is much more important than Mzoli's which has set a new benchmark. Mohit Agarwal (talk) 08:47, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
No opposition to deletion. The only reason I created it was because it was on the requested articles page and I was trying to clean that up a little bit. No notability. Bsimmons666 (talk) 21:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
