Mer People

[edit]

Hello, thank you for editing on Mer people. There are some changes I have made - removing Kshatriya from intro, but adding it in Society. I have kept the Mandal Comission reference - Mers are still classified as OBC and the situation has not changed. Also the hygiene part that you objected to has been removed, however, the vices part is kept as it is the most recent accurate info. Let me know if you can find a source that contains all the pankhi of bhayats as all these sources only contain the 14 bhayat.TSAray (talk) 13:21, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE stop adding that Mers are Rajput or that other unsubstantiated pieces of evidence and removing information such as they are currently considered OBC. Mers and Rajputs may have shared origin based on surnames etc. there needs to be academic claims regarding this to actually claim this here. Either find a source that says that every Mer lineage came from Rajputs or don't write that yet. The Mandal Commission on Mers still stands and there has been no change to OBC status.
