I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}

- Thank you for replying! A talk page is used to discuss changes to an article or to propose new ones. They are used to contest someone's edits, ask for people to add certain information to an article or to work with others to improve an article (see this page for a full explanation).
- If your first language isn't English then that's fine - Wikipedia is a great place to learn more and if you like translating articles from other Wikipedia's into English, then that is always considered really helpful. As for signing a post - this is usually done at the end of a message - like this --Robdurbar 19:39, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Question About Translation
[edit]I am a new here and I've just read all of the information about Wikipedia and the tutorial. My question is: Because of my mother tongue and my willingness expand Wikipedia, can I translate a page only in Indonesian to an English one? If I've already translated it, will it be corrected first by Wikipedia? Thanks for anybody helps. --Yves Revi 14:18, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- That depends on the exact nature of the original article and tranlation. The article still has to meet all of the English wikipedia's standards such as no original research, neutral point of view, use reliable sources and so on for inclusion and you have to be able to license the work under the GFDL literal word for word translations may have copyright issue if the original work is not GFDL and/or may need refererncing to the original author. After that the article will also still be subject to all the normal wiki things, such as possibly being subject to deletion, editing by other users etc. etc. --pgk 14:40, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
You might also want to read Wikipedia:Translation_into_English. Cheers, Netsnipe ► 14:47, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Question (Again) About Translation
[edit]This is my second question: Can I translate the page only available in Indonesian, but not included in the list of pages needed translation? Can anybody explain me about this kind of job? Thanks. --Yves Revi 15:45, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- Translate whatever you want. This is a volunteer project after all. The list is just what the translation team thinks is more important to do first though. -- Netsnipe ► 16:59, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Hello Yves
[edit]You are more than welcome - regarding Icelandic names. You'll find several different reactions from folks at wikipedia - from the very friendly to the . . .. very contentious, who will want to argue about everything. My advice is to respond in a way that makes you feel good. That is why you are here [my opinion]], to feel good about your contribution. I see that you have interest in translating from Indonesian. My mother learned some Indonesian during the 7 years she spent there and has only fond memories. Life is good. Carptrash 03:59, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- My parents and my youngest brother moved to Indonesia after I had gone off to college. Both my parents are now to old to take a trip that long and far but I would love to and likely my brother would too. However, like you, there are things going on for me here that preclude my jaunting off around the world. Oh yes, most of the contributers at wikipedia are dedicated and I've learned to just allow folks who want to argue to have their way. I now pick the spots where I take a stand very carefully. life is good. Carptrash 15:15, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi, this is regarding the question that you asked at WP:NUH. Please see Wikipedia:Userboxes for a big list of userboxes that you can put up at your userpage -- Lost(talk) 14:26, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi from WikiProject Indonesia
[edit]Hi Georginho! How are you?
WikiProject Indonesia invites you to join the project, and we are sure that you can help us greatly there. WikiProject Indonesia is a project dedicated to improve all articles related to Indonesia and currently we have got 37 members.
Here are some things you can help us with:
- Assessment: It's where you can tag Indonesia-related articles out there with our project banner and help us gather all articles.
- Cartography: Or maybe you can draw maps? It is a very important sector of our project, since Indonesia is a big country with thousands of islands, maps could be very useful.
- Collaboration: Every fortnight, we choose a short article that needs to be looked at and we improve that particular article together. The main goal is, of course, to reach featured article status.
- Or you can just help us expand articles related to Indonesia.
Have fun and see you there!. -- Imoeng 13:06, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Indonesia collaboration = Jakarta
[edit]Hello there Georginho, this fortnight's Indonesia project collaboration is > > > Jakarta < < <. Please contribute. The most important thing is to find reliable references for all existing information, and for any new info added.
Also, please help nominate an article for the next collaboration at the collab nomination page. An underdeveloped or stub article is preferred over a long and developed article. Please nominate up to two articles. any questions, please let me know. Kind regards and happy editing. --Merbabu 11:46, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Page titles
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Sriwijaya FC a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Sriwijaya F.C.. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Russ (talk) 20:10, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- Aye, I wasn't aware of this kind of features. But I see that the history of the two pages has been requested to be merged. Thank you for your attention. Georginho (talk) 20:58, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:23, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Hello, important ongoing discussion
[edit]Dr G, ty for your efforts in chem articles/mol graphics, they are well appreciated …concerning the future direction of the Natural Products article, please see the "Class" section in that article, and skim remaining. Article is in a current sorry state, and it is apparently avoided for its current structure and constraints. See developing discussion at [1]. Perhaps you have a view to express. (PS, it was I that put cobalamin as the lede natural product in that article, an edit that was reverted, not to overtly promote an organomet perspective, but because it is historically and chemically valid.) You can see my User page, hidden though it is—un-gray by clicking on Edit tab—to see who I am. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 18:30, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hello, Le Prof. Apologize for the late, late reply. But I was away from editing for months. Thanks for contacting me and trying to involve me in the discussion. Unfortunately, I don't think that I'm one of the right people to join it. As much as I'm interested in research in the area of natural products, I haven't done anything related to it. I don't even have a doctoral degree. I believe that there are other users who have more expertise than I do. The only thing I can do, at least for now, is providing pictures of molecules if there is a need to do so.
- Thanks again for stopping by. And keep contributing! Georginho (talk) 20:40, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
- Got it, thanks, and thanks for the reply—and I may talk with you as needs for adding molecules arise. Cheers. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 22:44, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Wanted to let you know that I'd retired
[edit]Thank you for earlier affirming interactions. See User:Leprof_7272 page for details if interested. Bonne chance. Le Prof 73.210.155.96 (talk) 16:09, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Leprof 7272: @73.210.155.96: What a pity. We'll certainly miss your contributions. I understand your reasoning. But if there is a chance you want to make minor edits (i.e., slight adjustments on texts and explanations, free from political issues on Wikipedia), I'm sure the door will always be open for you. (I myself never make big and deep changes.) Goodbye for now. Who knows we'll meet again in the future. All the best! Enjoy your life!
