Wikimedia NYC's monthly WikiWednesday Salon and Skillshare was held Wednesday, December 19, 2018, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus (South Lounge) at 113 W 60th Street in Manhattan, near Columbus Circle.

Date: Wednesday, December 19, 2018
Time: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: Fordham University at Lincoln Center, South Lounge, 113 West 60th Street, New York City, New York. After checking in at the Security Desk (show photo ID), continue through the lobby and take the escalator up to the plaza level. Go left into the cafeteria, the South Lounge is at the back of the cafeteria on the left side. The plaza level and above are accessible by the elevator located on the street level. To access, go straight ahead after checking into the security desk and make a right before the escalator. At the "t" in the hallway, turn to the left. A short distance down the hallway there will be a sign for a set of doors on the left that will lead to the elevator.
Subway: 59th St/Columbus Circle: A•B•C•D•1
Restrooms: are available on the ground level to the left after you pass the front desk. Restrooms are also available on the 4th floor behind the elevator bank.
Wifi: See Access to the Fordham WiFi Network for information on connecting to the WiFi network with your device on campus.

Welcome and introductions. One attendee reminded the crowd of the term "Wikibrarians" since there were so many librarians in attendance.

Skillshare
- On designing the "citation needed" button or a way of making Wikipedia more user-friendly by Enterprisey. He included a recruitment pitch for more people needed to review new articles.
- jim.henderson gave a recap of last month's talk on the need to categorize the many thousands of uncategorized images in Wikimedia Commons such as those extracted from books (for example, see c:Category:Book illustrations).
- There was mention of the Internet Archive's desire for more collaboration with Wikimedia projects.
- Enterprisey gave a brief demonstration of how to get scripts to work with one's account.
