[edit]- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the template below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the template's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete, large strangely formatted and generally redundant to the navigation boxes at the bottom of the article. Note that this template transcludes {{Campaignbox World War II}}, {{TopicTOC-World War II}}, {{WWII history by nation}}, {{World War II}}. No decision is being made here regarding those templates. In fact, as pointed out by the nominator, two of those templates are already included at the bottom of the articles. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 23:40, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
This is an odd infobox that contains a collection of links to various pages and other templates that seem redundant. There does not appear to be a coherent theme to the content of this template. Some of the templates are already displayed on the same pages as this template, and the various lists of links are in the included templates. For example World War II already includes template:World War II and template:WWII history by nation at the bottom of the article. Illia Connell (talk) 22:23, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

- Template:DLRP 15th (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Unused. DH85868993 (talk) 14:06, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- delete, as too specific. we already have other templates like {{Disneyland Paris Coasters}}. Frietjes (talk) 17:04, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Delete. Redundant template. Template:Disneyland Park (Paris) and the aforementioned Template:Disneyland Paris Coasters make this template useless.--SGCM (talk) 01:12, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was redirect, as it is now orphaned, and we have author approval. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 04:14, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Developed in parallel to the simpler and more widely-deployed {{portal-inline}}, this template's additional markup (a surrounding div tag) is unnecessary and the extra functionality (the ability to include up to 20 portal links) is, so far as I can tell from the ~50 template transclusions, unused. Recommend a redirect to {{portal-inline}}. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) (talk) 11:37, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Delete -- I agree and have often thought this was of questionable usefulness at best. 50.53.15.51 (talk) 15:11, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- redirect, but make sure all the transclusions are fine. I updated Template:Infobox London station (and a few others), which seemed to need the div stuff since there was no br between the calls (should drop the transclusion count by around 630). however, that should be easy to fix. Frietjes (talk) 17:10, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Redirect per Frietjes if someone is desirous of doing all the required work. Note also that this template may have a use in WikiProject banners, that will reduce rendering time on several million pages. Rich Farmbrough, 19:16, 22 July 2012 (UTC).

- Template:1990–91 Courage League National Division Two Table (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
superfluous template, used only one time. Table can be added to that article. Night of the Big Wind talk 10:45, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- substitute and delete all the old tables in Category:Rugby union table templates, since they are no longer being actively updated. probably should substitute and delete even the active ones. Frietjes (talk) 18:54, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

WP:TOOSOON, WP:NENAN. Two EPs and two singles, one of which doesn't yet have an article, aren't enough. The Christmas single doesn't count since it's a public domain cover and shouldn't have the template on it. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 22:35, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
