This article could use some more references and some expansion. It's pretty close to GA-Class. —Viriditas | Talk 13:22, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Meetups
Can someone have a look at Wikipedia talk:Meetup/Boston and fill me in? Thanks.--Pharos (talk) 03:11, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
As Durgin Park falls within the scope of this project, I would like to inform you all that it has been nominated for AfD. You may find it here if you would like to become involved in the discussion. Mstuczynski (talk) 22:23, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Harvard Musical Association GA Sweeps Review: On Hold
As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the GA criteria and I'm specifically going over all of the "Culture and Society" articles. I have reviewed Harvard Musical Association and believe the article currently meets the majority of the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. I have left this message at this WikiProject's talk page so that any interested members can assist in helping the article keep its GA status. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed, and I'll leave the article on hold for seven days for them to be fixed. I have left messages on the talk pages of the main contributors of the article and another WikiProject. Please consider helping address the several points that I listed on the talk page of the article, which shouldn't take too long to fix if multiple editors assist in the workload. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 05:44, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Changes to the WP:1.0 assessment scheme
As you may have heard, we at the Wikipedia 1.0 Editorial Team recently made some changes to the assessment scale, including the addition of a new level. The new description is available at WP:ASSESS.
- The new C-Class represents articles that are beyond the basic Start-Class, but which need additional references or cleanup to meet the standards for B-Class.
- The criteria for B-Class have been tightened up with the addition of a rubric, and are now more in line with the stricter standards already used at some projects.
- A-Class article reviews will now need more than one person, as described here.
Each WikiProject should already have a new C-Class category at Category:C-Class_articles. If your project elects not to use the new level, you can simply delete your WikiProject's C-Class category and clarify any amendments on your project's assessment/discussion pages. The bot is already finding and listing C-Class articles.
Please leave a message with us if you have any queries regarding the introduction of the revised scheme. This scheme should allow the team to start producing offline selections for your project and the wider community within the next year. Thanks for using the Wikipedia 1.0 scheme! Anybody up for a guide / photo taking?
I will be in Boston from 31 July to 4 August during American Sociological Association Conference. During parts of it I plan on sightseeing and taking photos for Wikimedia Commons. I would welcome project member's suggestions as to what is in need of photographing (I care more about filling gaps in Commons than for gaping at the well photographed tourist attractions), although I would certainly appreciated anybody who would like to play a guide :) And it's so much more fun to take photos in a group than alone, too. I am not sure about all of my schedule, but I should have most of the Thursday 31st free.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:56, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- I am back, somewhat disappointed in the lack of support from the members of this project.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 17:40, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

There is an article about Boston's Gaelic Football board (see title). It is uder the scope of the Boston Wikiproject and it is rated as a Stub. I play Gaelic Football here so I really don't like this. Anyone who would like to help me clean it up, please talk to me on my talk page. Thanks --Vhoscythechatter-sign 14:09, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Granary Burying Ground rating
I've added a history section to the article on the Granary Burying Ground and divided the article into sections. Can you do me a favor? It's rated Start class, but I think it should be a C or perhaps a B. Could you look it over and give it the proper rating? I'm not familiar with the criteria people use on rating. Thanks. pmcyclist (talk) 17:15, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia 0.7 articles have been selected for Boston
Wikipedia 0.7 is a collection of English Wikipedia articles due to be released on DVD, and available for free download, later this year. The Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team has made an automated selection of articles for Version 0.7.
We would like to ask you to review the articles selected from this project. These were chosen from the articles with this project's talk page tag, based on the rated importance and quality. If there are any specific articles that should be removed, please let us know at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.7. You can also nominate additional articles for release, following the procedure at Wikipedia:Release Version Nominations.
A list of selected articles with cleanup tags, sorted by project, is available. The list is automatically updated each hour when it is loaded. Please try to fix any urgent problems in the selected articles. A team of copyeditors has agreed to help with copyediting requests, although you should try to fix simple issues on your own if possible.
We would also appreciate your help in identifying the version of each article that you think we should use, to help avoid vandalism or POV issues. These versions can be recorded at this project's subpage of User:SelectionBot/0.7. We are planning to release the selection for the holiday season, so we ask you to select the revisions before October 20. At that time, we will use an automatic process to identify which version of each article to release, if no version has been manually selected. Thanks! Reassessment request: USS Constitution
User Brad101 (talk · contribs) has substantially expanded and improved the USS Constitution article. It was assessed as B-class prior to his efforts along with assistance from several others and is now rated GA by some of the other projects. The article deserves a reassessment, thanks in advance for your help. Sswonk (talk) 01:24, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Looking to get in contact with a model Wikipedian
Hi,
I posted this over at the water pump / miscellaneous, and it was suggested I ask here.
I'm a student in a Boston college and I'm working on a short, documentary-esque project which is supposed to show "what it means to be a good citizen." We're doing ours on online volunteers and would like to interview a Wikipedian in good standing who frequently contributes valuable, quality content and/or edits to the site. Someone in the Boston area would be preferable for the purpose of taping the interview, but we may be able to use video conferencing software if our professor allows it.
Not sure if you guys would be interested. Thanks for your time.

The nearly orphaned stub Boston Board of Selectmen could use some attention if you know anything about the subject. Cheers! —Kevin Myers 03:40, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
