Sexxx Dreams

Resolved

Project members, now that "Sexxx Dreams" has received a copy edit, I wonder if it is time to consider nominating the article for Good status. However, IndianBio and Snuggums, you have expressed concern above re: this article and its gaps. I wonder, would either of you be interesting in working on this article so that it meets criteria? Once finished, I'd be happy to co-nominate the article for Good status with whoever assisted. Just thought I would extend the invitation and see if anyone else wanted to help promote another Gaga article for this project. Thanks for your consideration. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:54, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

The following sources currently used in it are not reliable:
  • Gigwise
  • Sugarscape minus Removed
  • PopCrush minus Removed
If I can think of anything else making the article subpar, I'll adjust accordingly, but those are the biggest problems I could detect for now. Snuggums (talk / edits) 16:10, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for your feedback, Snuggums. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:31, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
I removed the Sugarscape and Popcrush sources. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:35, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Update: I went ahead and nominated "Sexxx Dreams" for Good article status. IndianBio, Snuggums, and other WPLadyGaga participants, please feel free to make improvements to this article before or during the nomination process. It would be great to have another GA associated with this project and I know you do such great work and can easily identify what makes a great Gaga article. :) ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:43, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for everyone who participated in the review. Looks like the article should pass soon. Glad to have another Artpop era article promoted. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:13, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

TechHaus Volantis in the Artpop good topic?

I noticed TechHaus Volantis in the Artpop good topic on the project page. I would argue that the hover vehicle isn't directly related to the album. It just happened to be premiered at an event which promoted the album, and unless we want to argue that the TechHaus Volantis article is incomplete, it doesn't even mention Artpop currently. I propose the removal of TechHaus Volantis from the good topic template. Thoughts?---Another Believer (Talk) 05:01, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

I added American Horror Story: Hotel to this project. Not sure if we will want to add all episodes in which Gaga appears, but certainly the season is relevant to her since she will have a starring role. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:26, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

What exactly is that? Unless the role is confirmed it is extremely premature. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 17:50, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
What do you mean? This is an upcoming season of the American Horror Story series. Each season has a different subtitle and theme. It is not premature. Plenty of sources have confirmed. See talk page. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:52, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
I disagree about it being premature. As for episodes, not sure what to say. Snuggums (talk / edits) 18:17, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
It is not premature. An editor is just edit warring. Yes, we should discuss whether or not to add individual episodes to this project. I would say yes, but that's because I would rather include articles in more related projects than less. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:18, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

The first episode premieres tonight! I am going to go ahead and add WikiProject Lady Gaga to the article's talk page. We can remove later if we decide her role is not large enough to justify project inclusion. Happy viewing! ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:20, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

Update: Project members may be interested in contributing to the potential good topic about AHS: Hotel. See this section on the season's talk page for a draft template. ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:41, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

This article says the song Till It Happens to You is a single. Should it be added to Lady Gaga discography and/or is it worthy of an article? ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:51, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Not sure all of these are reliable, but I added some sources to Talk:Till It Happens to You. ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:55, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
Before adding to discography, it's best to have an officially confirmed release date. As for a standalone article, I'll see how much can be gathered on the song. Snuggums (talk / edits) 03:56, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
Except for background, which is from the horse's mouth, I don't see any third party reception from critical point of view. Until we have that or any song release date, I would say refrain from creating an article. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:51, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
i dont think its an official single.. its just a movie sound track. let's just wait for further updates and release before doing actions zlouiemark [ T ] [ C ] 01:59, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

Update: The Hunting Ground was released recently, and, according to the article is scheduled to air on CNN. May bring the song into the news again, so be on the lookout! Would be great if there were enough info to throw together a quick GA about this song for WP Lady Gaga. Collaboration of the month? :) ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:52, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

I just love your enthusiasm AB :D —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 06:57, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
I created a short article using two of the sources added to the talk page. This should be a pretty easy article to expand to GA status. Of course, all are invited to assist! I have some other projects and travels fast approaching, but I will try to revisit this in the future. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:46, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Do we feel this article is now GA-worthy or should we wait a while to make sure the song doesn't receive additional press in the very near future? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:53, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

A song that was just released as a single within the past week is definitely not stable enough for a GAN. Wait at until November/December before nominating. Snuggums (talk / edits) 16:02, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Update: This article has been promoted to GA status. Congrats, IB! This project has been doing great work lately, keep it up! ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:13, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

do u think the article should have an audio recording? im willing to help :) zlouiemark [ T ] [ C ] 08:05, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

What do you mean by that? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 12:54, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
Of course! In theory, shouldn't all Wikipedia articles have an audio recording for accessibility purposes? IB, see WikiProject Spoken Wikipedia for more info. ---Another Believer (Talk) 12:56, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

List of tours and concerts by Lady Gaga

Hi, I was thinking to creat a new article about List of tours and concerts by Lady Gaga. We could add her tours, performances at Award Shows... What do you guys think? We already have a big content of information and appearance! GagaNutella (talk) 19:24, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Eh..... too soon. IMO there's no need for it now. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:26, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
It was just an idea... GagaNutella (talk) 19:27, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
As talked today, I've created this draft User:GagaNutella/sandbox/List of Lady Gaga concert tours. I've already added her concerts and some performances, but I'm in the very beginning stage. I'm sure this list has potential and it will be FL, as long as we work together. GagaNutellatalk 02:08, 27 February 2016 (UTC) PS: let's keep it between us, just the members. I don't want third part giving their opinion at this moment. GagaNutellatalk 02:11, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
This list looks great! I think you should move it to the main space. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:13, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

Artpop era articles

Thanks to everyone who helped with the "Sexxx Dreams" article. I am curious, does anyone else have interest or plans to work on other Artpop era articles? There are "Aura", "Venus", "Swine", "Gypsy", "Applause", Lady Gaga and the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular, ArtRave, TechHaus Volantis, and ArtRave: The Artpop Ball. The latter is already nominated for GA status, and "Applause" looks almost GA worthy. "Swine" should be pretty easy to promote with a bit of work. Just curious, I don't want to step on any toes! Or, let me know if you want to work together on something -- I am particularly interested in "Swine" and ArtRave. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:07, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Also, just asking for the sake of completion and knowing what future articles this project may work on, should there be article for any of the following: Jewels n' Drugs, Manicure, Donatella, Fashion!, Mary Jane Holland? ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:17, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
As far as I can tell, they don't have enough independent coverage outside of album reviews, so no. Snuggums (talk / edits) 16:29, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

The Fame Monster good topic

Aw, so close, except for the article about The Fame Monster itself. Also, project members, are we sure "Teeth" should not have its own article? All other tracks on the album do. Obviously there will be reviews of the song in track-by-track album reviews, but I wonder if the song has charted and/or if this is notable. If Gigwise is not considered reliable, other sources also discuss. Just curious. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:15, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Charts (or lack thereof) by themselves are not indicators of whether or not a song should have an article. Gigwise definitely isn't reliable. For now, my instinct says it shouldn't have an article. Snuggums (talk / edits) 18:19, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Sure, but I feel that if a song charts (even some that don't chart are still notable), has been critiqued by music critics, and has other noteworthy aspects, then it may qualify for an article. Americano (song), Electric Chapel, and Till It Happens to You are examples of this, though the former two did chart. I haven't determined yet if Teeth charted. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:24, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
I think we could create an article about this song, but at the moment, let's focus on the album's article and nominate it for GA! I saw that IndianBio, recently, made some important edits there. Maybe more few edits and you can nominate it. GagaNutellatalk 19:04, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
The Fame Monster album article is very bad, all filled with quotes and close paraphrasing. It was right to get delisted, I'm working on it soon. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:08, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
👍 Like ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:58, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

I've started expanding Teeth (song). I invite project members to please contribute to this article before immediately redirecting. Let's see if we can't collaborate and get this article promoted to Good status. Then all Fame Monster tracks will have an article and we can then focus on promoting the Good topic. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:54, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

I absolutely disagree with this. "Teeth" in no way passes any notability at all. Why would you again create it? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 21:41, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
You've made that very clear, despite my request that project members not immediately redirect an article I am actively working on. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:16, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Update: "Teeth" (song) ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:47, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Congrats!!! GagaNutellatalk 17:50, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! The good topic template for The Fame Monster is looking pretty solid right now. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:52, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

The Fame?

There is a good topic about The Fame. I see The Fame is also included as an entry for the good topic dedicated to The Fame Monster. Is this necessary? The GT for The Fame doesn't include The Fame Monster... ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:33, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Not sure if the article for The Fame Monster should be included in the GT for The Fame, but they are definitely separate topics either way since each spawned their own separate success, singles, and such. Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:53, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure it is necessary to include The Fame as part of the GT for The Fame Monster, or vice versa, per your reasoning. That being said, I am also not as familiar with the article inclusion criteria for Good topics. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:56, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
The fact that they were commercially sold together itself makes them part of the GT for TFM. The Fame did not have The Fame Monster sold with it, it was commercially an independent entity. However, the vice versa is not true. The Fame Monster was sold both as an independent EP as well as consolidated with The Fame. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 19:36, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Ah, that does make sense. I think of TFM as a fairly independent project, but perhaps an understanding of TF is necessary to fully cover TFM. I will let those who are more familiar with Wikipedia:Featured topic criteria make the final decision. I don't feel too strongly either way, I just thought it was worth discussing. Thank you, both, for your feedback. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:46, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

"Perform This Way" part of WikiProject Lady Gaga?

Snuggums removed WPLG banner from the "Perform This Way" talk page. I don't feel strongly either way, but I would think the song is related enough to Gaga to be part of this project's umbrella of content. Just making a note of it here and I'll let others decide if the talk page should be tagged or not. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:41, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

No, I have reverted that. "Perform This Way" is definitely part of the project, Gaga was officially credited as one of the songwriter on Alpocalypse, as well as officially credited behind the video inspiration. See "Like a Surgeon" and Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna too. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:07, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
I agree with the article being tagged as part of WikiProject Lady Gaga. I do think it is unnecessary to include Perform This Way as part of the Born This Way good topic, though. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:59, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure, when the GT nomination of this topic will go, there will be questions of why PTW was not included. I mean, the pardoy itself generated from the original song. It's like not including the "Thriller dance sequences" when creating the GT on Thriller. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 07:08, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

Greetings WikiProject Lady Gaga/Archive 2 Members!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about a technical proposal to revive your Popular Pages list in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

If the above proposal gets in the Top 10 based on the votes, there is a high likelihood of this bot being restored so your project will again see monthly updates of popular pages.

Further, there are over 260 proposals in all to review and vote for, across many aspects of wikis.

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Popular pages report

We – Community Tech – are happy to announce that the Popular pages bot is back up-and-running (after a one year hiatus)! You're receiving this message because your WikiProject or task force is signed up to receive the popular pages report. Every month, Community Tech bot will post at Wikipedia:WikiProject Lady Gaga/Archive 2/Popular pages with a list of the most-viewed pages over the previous month that are within the scope of WikiProject Lady Gaga.

We've made some enhancements to the original report. Here's what's new:

  • The pageview data includes both desktop and mobile data.
  • The report will include a link to the pageviews tool for each article, to dig deeper into any surprises or anomalies.
  • The report will include the total pageviews for the entire project (including redirects).

We're grateful to Mr.Z-man for his original Mr.Z-bot, and we wish his bot a happy robot retirement. Just as before, we hope the popular pages reports will aid you in understanding the reach of WikiProject Lady Gaga, and what articles may be deserving of more attention.
