He is best known for his roles in generational epic East of Eden (2008),[1] period medical drama Jejungwon (2009), and crime procedural Vampire Prosecutor (2011-2012).[2][3][4][5] An avid car enthusiast, he hosted the first three seasons of Top Gear Korea, the South Korean version of the BBC show.[6][7]

His father is veteran actor Yeon Kyu-jin, and he is married to actress Han Ga-in.On April 13,2016 she gave birth to a baby girl.[8][9][10]
