The whole I-V characteristics section is riddled with well-meaning statements that is only true in the writer's specific application/field of LPs, probably laboratory plasmas. But these statements appear ignorant and unfounded in the usage of Langmuir probe's elsewhere, for instance in space plasmas, where electron saturation current is understood, albeit demanding.
