The 1968 Davis Cup was the 57th edition of the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. 49 teams would enter the competition, 32 in the Europe Zone, 9 in the Americas Zone, and 8 in the Eastern Zone.[1]

The United States defeated Ecuador in the Americas Zone final, India defeated Japan in the Eastern Zone final, and West Germany and Spain won the Europe Zones. In the Inter-Zonal Zone, the USA defeated Spain, India defeated West Germany, and then the USA defeated India in the final. The USA then defeated defending champions Australia in the Challenge Round. The final was played at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre in Adelaide, Australia on 26–28 December.
