Madison Municipal Airport (IATA: MDN, ICAO: KIMS, FAA LID: IMS) is four miles west of Madison, in Jefferson County, Indiana.[1]

Most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but this airport is IMS to the FAA and MDN to the IATA.[2]

Facilities

The airport covers 174 acres (70 ha); its runway, 3/21, is 5,000 x 75 ft (1,524 x 23 m) asphalt. In the year ending August 4, 2006 the airport had 43,882 aircraft operations, average 120 per day: 80% general aviation, 16% air taxi and 4% military. 52 aircraft were then based at this airport: 90% single-engine, 8% multi-engine and 2% jet.[1]
